  • Publication number: 20080203668
Abstract: A trivia game has cards upon which are imprinted: A) the standard designation indicia of standard playing cards; and, B) trivia questions and answers. Players compete to achieve the best Poker hands. During a player's turn a card's question is read to the player. If the player correctly answers the question he/she: A) may discard the card or keep the card and discard any other single card in his/her hand; or, B) may keep the card without discarding any card; and, D) is awarded another consecutive turn, unless the kept card is the player's fifth card. If the player fails to correctly answer the question he/she must add the card to his/her hand and his/her turn is over. When a player has five cards he/she has no further turns in the round. The first player to win a certain number of rounds wins the game.

  • Publication number: 20020176914
Abstract: A moisture transmission prevention barrier or pocket for separating the sandwich filling material from the bread to prevent any liquid or moisture, contained in the sandwich filling material, from being transferred to and/or absorbed by the bread during the temporary storage of the assembled sandwich prior to consumption by a purchaser. The moisture transmission prevention barrier or pocket is preferably manufactured from an FDA approved plastic material and has a suitably sized internal compartment to accommodate a desired quantity of the sandwich filling material therein. The moisture transmission prevention barrier or pocket/sandwich filling material unit is then received by a slot or recess formed in a piece of bread, or between inwardly facing surfaces of the two slices of bread, to from an assembled sandwich. Prior to consumption of the assembled sandwich by the purchaser, the moisture transmission prevention barrier or pocket is removed from the bread, e.g.

  • Patent number: 6444185
Abstract: A process is provided to recover residual H2S, SO2, COS and CS2 in the tail gas from a sulphur recovery process. The tail gas is oxidized and hydrolyzed at a temperature of from 180° C. to 700° C. to provide an oxidized and hydrolyzed gas stream containing substantially no COS or CS2 and having a concentration by volume of H2S and SO2 such that the H2S concentration minus twice the SO2 concentration is from 0.25% to 0.5%. Then the gas stream from the hydrolysis is passed over a Claus catalyst, for example based on alumina and/or titanium oxide, for the reaction of H2S with SO2 to form sulphur and provide a gas stream with substantially no SO2.

  • Patent number: 6083471
Abstract: A process for catalytically oxidizing the H.sub.2 S present at low concentration in a gas to sulphur wherein the gas together with a gas containing free oxygen in a quantity to provide and O.sub.2 to H.sub.2 S mole ratio ranging from 0.05 to 10 are contacted with a catalyst for selectively oxidizing H.sub.2 S to sulphur, the catalyst comprising a support based on silicon carbide associated with a catalytic active phase containing at least one transition metal such as Fe, Ni, Cr, Co, Cu, Ag, Mn, Mo, Ti, W or V, in a form of a metal compound and/or in the elemental state. Prior to treating the gas, the oxidation catalyst is subjected to an activation treatment which loads the active phase of the catalyst to provide maximum sulphurization of the metal of the catalyst. In an alternate embodiment, the oxidation of the H.sub.2 S is performed below the dew point of the sulphur. In another embodiment, the oxidation is performed at a temperature above the dew point of sulphur and in particular between 200.degree. C.

  • Patent number: 6017507
Abstract: A process is provided for reducing the amount of hydrogen sulfide present in a tail gas from a sulfur recovery process. The hydrogen sulfide contaminated gas along with a gas containing free oxygen is passed through a series of hydrogen sulfide oxidation zones containing an oxidation catalyst, such as one or more oxides or salts of Ni, Co, Fe, Cu, Ag, Mn, Mo, Cr, W and V, deposited on a support, such as bauxite, activated alumina, titania and activated carbon. The initial and intermediate catalyst beds are operated adiabatically by injecting a substoichiometric amount of oxygen into the gas to be treated with respect to the amount of hydrogen sulfide present in the gas so that the temperature does not exceed 150.degree. C. The final catalyst bed is operated under conditions such that a superstoichiometric amount of oxygen is injected into the gas with respect to the hydrogen sulfide and cooling is provided so that the temperature does not exceed 150.degree. C.

  • Patent number: 5494650
Abstract: A process is provided for the improvement of the sulphur yield of an assembly which produces sulphur from H.sub.2 S and which consists of a sulphur plant (1), an oxidation and hydrolysis unit (2) and a purification unit (3). The sulphur plant in producing sulphur provides a residual gas which incorporates H.sub.2 O, COS and/or CS.sub.2 and H.sub.2 S and SO.sub.2 in a mol ratio of H.sub.2 S:SO.sub.2 >2:1. The residual gas passes into the hydrolysis unit on a H.sub.2 S oxidation and COS and CS.sub.2 hydrolysis catalyst which functions between 180.degree. C. and 700.degree. C., in the presence of air, thus producing a residual gas free of COS and CS and incorporating H.sub.2 S and SO.sub.2 in a mol ratio which is kept equal to 2:1 by regulating the air flow. The residual gas is introduced into the purification unit in which H.sub.2 S and SO.sub.2 are made to react in order to produce sulphur and to obtain a purified residual gas.
