  • Patent number: 5974168
Abstract: A method and system for obtaining and processing acquired images of an object to extract a small scale geometry (a bump map) of the object that is independent of object curvature.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 16, 1998
Date of Patent: October 26, 1999
    Assignee: International Business Machines Corporation
Inventors: Holly Edith Rushmeier, Gabriel Taubin, Andre Pierre Gueziec
  • Patent number: 5951475
Abstract: A method and system is disclosed for registering two dimensional fluoroscopic images with a three dimensional model of a surgical tissue of interest.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 25, 1997
Date of Patent: September 14, 1999
    Assignee: International Business Machines Corporation
Inventors: Andre Pierre Gueziec, Peter Kazanzides, Russell H. Taylor
  • Patent number: 4873868
Abstract: A mechanical magnitude sensor integrated on silicon, and a method of manufacture. The sensor comprises a bendably deformable conductive blade (4) whose free end (43) constitutes the first plate of a variable capacitor whose fixed second plate (24) is constituted by a conductive zone formed on the silicon substrate. A JFET type structure is formed in the vicinity of the anchor point (41) of the blade (4) with a gate zone (21) situated beneath the anchor portion (41) and with drain and source zones (22, 23) being provided on either side of the gate zone (21) in order to amplify a signal representative of variations in the position of the flexible blade (4). The sensor may be used as an accelerometer or as a pressure sensor.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: February 9, 1988
Date of Patent: October 17, 1989
    Assignee: Metravib R.D.S.

  • Patent number: 4017623
Abstract: The compounds of the formula: ##STR1## in which R.sub.1 is chlorine, CF.sub.3, or -SCF.sub.3 and R.sub.2 is phenyl or phenyl substituted by one or two Cl, CH.sub.3, CF.sub.3, OCF.sub.3 or SCF.sub.3 radicals, the phenyl being substituted when R.sub.1 is chlorine, and their salts, having interesting analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 13, 1975
Date of Patent: April 12, 1977
    Assignee: Synthelabo

  • Patent number: 3989241
Abstract: A physical training apparatus comprising a vertical column and two sleeves mounted on the column adjustable in height. One of the sleeves supports a fixed hanger and the other sleeve supports a swing-bar which can rotate through 360.degree. and carries a handle. A brake increases the resistance of the apparatus to the user, said resistance being already adjusted by resilient elements placed between the fixed hanger and the swing-bar.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: June 13, 1975
Date of Patent: November 2, 1976
    Inventor: Andre Pierre Joseph Ourgant
  • Patent number: 3953449
Abstract: The invention provides compound of formula ##SPC1##Wherein R.sub.1 is alkyl or substituted or unsubstituted phenyl or 3-pyridyl, and R.sub.2 is hydrogen, halogen, alkoxy or trifluoromethyl, methoxy or methylthio. The compounds are useful as analgesic agents.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 6, 1974
Date of Patent: April 27, 1976
    Assignee: Synthelabo
