  • Patent number: 11389791
Abstract: A process for regenerating a catalyst containing ruthenium or ruthenium compounds, which includes, optionally at elevated temperature, subjecting the catalyst to a hydrogen halide treatment, particularly a gas stream comprising hydrogen chloride, under non-oxidative conditions and, optionally at reduced temperature, to at least a two-stage oxidative post-treatment. The catalyst may have been poisoned by sulfur compounds. After the removal of sulfur, the catalyst is subjected to an oxidative post-treatment.

  • Publication number: 20220203300
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for cleaning corrosive process gases that contain sulfur compounds. According to the method, a gas stream that contains corrosive gases is conducted, in a sorption phase, over an inorganic sorbent material which absorbs at least one of the sorbable sulfurous components on the sorbent material, and the sulfurous compound-depleted gas stream is removed.

  • Patent number: 11267703
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and a system for separating and treating impurities from a hydrogen chloride liquid mixture from the process for preparing isocyanate with phosgenation including sending hydrogen chloride liquid mixture into a gas-liquid separation column for separation to yield a liquid phase flow with impurities at the bottom of the gas-liquid separation column, neutralizing the liquid phase flow comprising impurities with an alkaline liquid in the neutralization tank to yield a neutralized solution, and sending the neutralized solution into a waste liquid treatment device from said neutralization tank for treatment.

  • Publication number: 20210154657
Abstract: A process is described for regenerating a catalyst comprising ruthenium or ruthenium compounds, which has been poisoned by sulfur compounds, in which the catalyst, optionally at elevated temperature, is subjected to treatment with a hydrogen halide, particularly a gas stream comprising hydrogen chloride, under non-oxidative conditions and additionally, optionally at reduced temperature, to an at least two-stage oxidative post-treatment.

  • Publication number: 20200208283
Abstract: The invention relates to a gas diffusion electrode for reducing carbon dioxide, having a special catalyst morphology (silver in the form of agglomerated nanoparticles having a BET surface area of at least 2 m2/g), and to an electrolysis device. The gas diffusion electrode comprises at least one carrier and a porous coating on the basis of an electrochemically active porous silver catalyst and a hydrophobic material. The invention further relates to a production method for the gas diffusion electrode and to the use thereof as a carbon dioxide GDE in e.g. chlorine electrolysis.

  • Publication number: 20190023568
Abstract: The invention relates to known catalysts which contain cerium or other catalytically active components for producing chlorine by means of a catalytic gas phase oxidation of hydrogen chloride with oxygen. A catalyst material is described for producing chlorine by means of a catalytic gas phase oxidation of hydrogen chloride with oxygen, wherein the catalyst comprises at least oxide compounds of the cerium as active components and zirconium dioxide microparticles as the carrier components, and the catalyst is characterized by a particularly high yield, measured in kgCl2/kgKA T·h, based on the mass of the catalyst.
