    Abstract: In a receiving station having an adaptive receiving antenna, a phasing system comprises a plurality of reception paths receiving telecommunications signals derived from the same useful signal combined in transmission with a disturbing signal having a frequency band outside the frequency band of the useful signal, via a plurality of primary sources of the receiving antenna. The phasing system includes a narrowband filtering circuit for filtering the overall telecommunications signal in one of the reception paths to derive a reference signal undisturbed by the disturbing signal and solely dependent on the useful signal. In phasing circuits respectively assigned to the reception paths, the useful signal alone is set to a phase as close as possible to the phase of the reference signal in order to obtain, after signal summing at outputs of the phasing circuits, a maximum power using signal mixed with an attenuated scrambling signal.

    Abstract: Lightning conductor with a piezoelectric device for starting the corona effect. A lightning conductor pole rests on a support fixed by means of a ball. Under the action of the wind, the pole moves out of the vertical position until a shoulder abuts against a flange of the support. With the wind continuing to act on the pole, the latter exerts a considerable force on the support and the reaction force or torque is transmitted to the piezoelectric device by means of the ball.

    Abstract: Process for obtaining luminescent glass layers, application to the production of devices provided with said layers and to the construction of photoscintillators.The process comprises projecting onto a support, by cathodic sputtering, the material of at least one target, each target including silica and at least one chemical compound able to give luminescent centers, such as a cerium oxide, so as to form at least one luminescent glass layer of the said support. The layer or layers formed preferably undergo a heat treatment such as annealing in order to increase the luminous efficiency thereof. It is in this way possible to form a scintillating glass layer on the previously frosted entrance window of a photomultiplier in order to obtain an integrated photoscintillator.

    Abstract: An acoustic polarimeter for measuring the anisotropy of a sample comprises an electroacoustic transducer which transmits a high-frequency transverse acoustic wave and is fixed on a birefringent measuring plate. The acoustic wave is received by a second transducer and this latter is sensitive to the component of the wave which is parallel to the transmitted wave. Transmission devices are provided for delivering electrical signals which are frequency-modulated about a tunable mean frequency. The electrical signals applied to the second transducer are received on a zero indicator, thus permitting determination of the directions of the slow axis and fast axis of the sample as well as the angle of phase shift introduced by the sample.

    Abstract: The device comprises an elongated acoustic wave translating isotropic body and a pair of transducers applied over one of the two parallel end faces thereof. Said transducers are arranged with relatively crossed axes of linear transversal polarization. The other end face of the isotrope body is intended to be applied to a sample or a structure made of an acoustically active substance presenting anisotropy, either intrinsic or induced, with respect to acoustical polarization. The length of the isotropic body is such that when the transducers are both simultaneously driven by pulsed high frequency voltages which are modulated in respective phase quadrature by a low frequency oscillation, the two transversal acoustic waves propagated through the body vectorially combine so that the opposite end face of the body is the subject of a constant amplitude acoustic wave which rotates at the speed of the pulsation of the low frequency.
