  • Patent number: 8480892
Abstract: The invention concerns a filter insert (1) that is provided as an exchangeable insert in an oil filter of an internal combustion engine, as well as a corresponding oil filter. The oil filter comprises a filter housing (3) separable along a separating plane (2) and the exchangeable filter insert (1). Two housing parts (4, 5) of the filter housing (3) are sealed relative one another along the separating plane (2) by means of a seal (6). The seal (6) is captively secured on the filter insert (1).

  • Patent number: 8388834
Abstract: The invention relates to a fuel filter (1) with a device for separating water from the fuel. This device comprises at least one filter screen element (6) placed in a filter housing (2) which is located downstream a filter element (3) for the filtration of particles from the fuel, a tank (15) located under the filter screen element (6) at the filter housing (2) in which the separated water droplets are collected, and a device for deviating the fuel between the filter element (3) and the filter screen element (6).

  • Patent number: 7997422
Abstract: A filter has a housing with cylindrical wall having a first end face and a second end face. The housing has an end wall that closes of the first end face. A filter insert is arranged in the housing. A lid is attached to the cylindrical wall and closes off the second end face. The housing has two layers of different plastic materials, wherein the different plastic materials have different ductility and in particular different hardness. The cylindrical wall has elements that provide a positive-locking connection of the two layers in the axial direction of the housing.

  • Patent number: 7731845
Abstract: A fuel filter has a filter housing and an annular filter element arranged in the filter housing. Between the bottom of the filter housing and the bottom area of the filter element a water collecting chamber is formed. The filter element has a coalescing element and a particle filter element. Fuel flows radially from the interior to the exterior of the coalescing element and from the exterior to the interior of the particle filter element. A riser tube extends through the clean chamber and the raw chamber from the bottom of the filter housing to the top. The riser tube has a clean channel and a guide channel. A seal on the riser tube separates a clean chamber from a raw chamber of the filter. A water removal tube is arranged inside the guide channel for removing water from the water collecting chamber.
