  • Patent number: 11130654
Abstract: A system and a method determine the position of an elevator car of an elevator installation, which elevator car is arranged movably in an elevator shaft. The system has a computing unit and an image-capturing unit that are arranged on the elevator car. The image-capturing unit records images of shaft components or shaft equipment used for other functions and transmits the images to the computing unit. The computing unit compares a currently recorded image with at least one stored comparison image of the shaft components or shaft equipment in the direction of travel of the elevator car so as to determine the current position of the elevator car in the direction of travel. The computing unit compares the currently recorded image with the stored comparison image also transversely to the direction of travel so as to determine the current position of the elevator car in the direction of travel.

  • Patent number: 10549947
Abstract: A method and a system for determining the position of an elevator car of an elevator system, which car is arranged for travel in an elevator hoistway, includes equipping the elevator car with an acceleration sensor that registers acceleration data in a computing unit, calculation by the computing unit of the current position and/or of the velocity of the elevator car, and equipping the elevator system with an image-recording unit, which unit records recorded images of the elevator hoistway. The computing unit compares the recorded images with current mapping images of the elevator hoistway to determine an image-based current position of the elevator car. Finally, the computing unit undertakes a recalibration of the current position using the image-based current position.

  • Publication number: 20090206286
Abstract: The invention relates to a system and method for characterization of a particle flow, for example, for characterization of material for milling, in particular for milled cereals, in a roller frame with a roller passage formed by a pair of rollers whereby the system comprises a withdrawal portion after the roller passage for removal of a milled material sample from the milled material flow exiting the roller passage, a presentation section for conveying and presenting the taken milled material sample, a recording device for recording the milled material passing through the presentation section and an analytical section for analysis of the recorded milled material sample.

  • Publication number: 20070205312
Abstract: The invention relates to a system for characterizing grinding material, especially milled grain, in a roll mill comprising a roll passage formed by a pair of rolls. The system comprises an extraction device which is analyzed downstream of the roller passages and used to extract a grinding material sample from the flow of grinding material leaving the roll passage; a presentation section for conveying and presenting the grinding material sample; a recording device for recording the grinding material sample conveyed through the presentation section; and an analysis device for analyzing the recorded grinding material sample.

  • Patent number: 4726932
Abstract: A dosing and mixing apparatus for fluid media comprising at least one delivery element and one isolating element. These elements are provided with through-flow or transfer passages and dosing chambers suitably mutually arranged for accomodating and isolating a voluminized specimen quantity or measured dose of test specimen as well as for delivering this measured out dose of test specimen to and mixing this dose of test specimen with a measured dose of thinning agent. The dosing and mixing apparatus manifests itself in that at least one channel suitably associated with the dosing chamber is provided in a surface of one of the elements, such as the isolating element at the surface thereof which faces the delivery element. Each such channel communicates with through-flow openings or circulation passages and is traversed by a cleansing fluid wetting the mutually facing and touching surfaces of the individual delivery and isolating elements in the transport path of the dose of test specimen.

  • Patent number: 4465473
Abstract: An injection apparatus for injecting liquids into a blood vessel of a living body includes an injector housing provided at its front end with a retaining or holder member for supporting an injection syringe containing a piston located in a cylinder of the injection syringe. The retaining member is adapted to exchangeably receive injection syringes of different cylinder cross-sections. A sensing device substantially comprises two sensing or feeler brackets and two switches cooperating with the sensing brackets. The sensing or feeler brackets are journaled in the retaining or holder member and are adapted to be deflected by interaction with the syringe cylinder. The deflection is particularly accomplished by a flange provided at one end of the syringe cylinder and having a diameter governed by the cylinder cross-section.

  • Patent number: 4157716
Abstract: An apparatus for the dosed dispensing of a liquid by means of an injection device equipped with a motor-driven spindle mechanism, a cylinder and a piston, one end of the piston being axially displaceable in the cylinder and the other end being operatively connected with one end of a spindle shaft of the spindle mechanism. At the opposite end of the spindle shaft there is provided a first scale ring connected with the spindleshaft and a second scale ring which engages with the first scale ring. A coupling element connects the second scale ring with an adjustment device, the second scale ring being rotatable and thus adjustable with respect to the first scale ring by axially disengaging or declutching the same. Both of the scale rings are equipped with at least one stop means for limiting the adjustment path of the second scale ring for setting the volume of the liquid to be dispensed or dosed.

  • Patent number: 4129280
Abstract: A pivot mechanism for a housing laterally arranged at a support, such as a stand or the like, especially a housing for a medical instrument, comprising a first axle body and a second axle body, the second axle body being rotatably mounted at one side or end in the first axle body and at the other side or end is capable of being operatively connected with the housing. The first axle body and the second axle body are mounted in a headpiece such that the housing is horizontally rotatable about an essentially vertical lengthwise axis of the first axle body and vertically pivotable about an essentially horizontal lengthwise axis of the second axle body. The headpiece has at least one friction surface for the horizontal rotational movement and further friction surfaces for the vertical pivotal movement. For braking such movements there is provided but a single resilient element such as a compression or pressure spring.
