  • Patent number: 12181854
Abstract: In a method for producing and/or machining a non-conical face of a workpiece defined by a segment of a cone, in particular a sealing face of a multiple-eccentric shut-off valve, using a machine tool having at least two linear axes and at least one rotary axis controlled by a numerical controller for generating a relative movement between a tool and the workpiece, a cycle is provided on the numerical controller and retrieved by a user of the machine tool. The user parameterizes the cycle, whereafter a part program is generated by the cycle for execution by the numerical controller. The executed part program generates the relative movement along a path determined by the part program to produce and/or machine the face of the workpiece.

  • Publication number: 20240413983
Abstract: In a method for operating a numerical control device for controlling a production machine for producing a workpiece, program instructions generated by CAM software are encrypted with a first encryption key to generate first encrypted program instructions and the first encrypted program instructions are decrypted with a first decryption key to generate first decrypted program instructions. To prevent unauthorized access to the program instructions, the first decrypted program instructions are re-encrypted using a second encryption key to generate second encrypted program instructions, which are stored in a memory of the numerical control device.

  • Patent number: 11036207
Abstract: Relative movement between a tool and a workpiece for machining the workpiece with a machine tool is controlled by defining a machine coordinate system (MKS) relative to a machine base of the machine tool and a rotation coordinate system (RKS) relative to the MKS by defining the origin of the RKS in the MKS, defining the orientation of a selected coordinate axis of the RKS in the MKS, defining an axis of rotation around which the RKS rotates in the MKS, defining an angular velocity with which the RKS rotates around the axis of rotation, defining a tool path in the RKS, and controlling the relative movement according to the defined tool path. With this procedure, complex movements of a machine tool, in particular in connection with so-called interpolation turning, can be described or programmed in a relatively simple manner.

  • Patent number: 9415477
Abstract: A method for operating a machine tool is disclosed wherein during operation of the machine tool at least one state of the machine tool is projected into a working area of the machine tool with a 3D projector at a predefined point in space in the working area. A projection device performing the method and a machine tool with such a projection device is also disclosed.
