    Abstract: A conveying unit includes a rotatable roller having a first through-hole between the inside and the outside of the roller. A cylindrical member inside the roller has an opening and defines an annular chamber between the member and the roller. An insert borne by the roller inserted in the first through-hole thereof and contacting an external surface of the cylindrical member has a second through-hole in communication with the outside of the roller and extending through the first through-hole and the annular chamber. The first through-hole of the opening is configured such that, when the roller rotates, the insert transits at the opening, temporarily placing the outside of the roller in fluid communication with the annular chamber via the second through-hole, so that a sheet outside the roller and at the first through-hole is pulled against the roller by aspirating means and is conveyed.

The method includes applying measured quantities of a sanitizing and/or disinfectant substance (S) between the two layers of embossed paper (10, 20) before their joining; preferably, the substance (S) is applied to the same continuous web (1) that is aimed at receiving the glue (C), after the embossing step and contemporarily with the glue (C) application, by spot-application of a mixture (M) in aqueous solution containing suitable percentage of the glue (C) and sanitizing substance (S) to the tops (11A) of the embossing relieves (11.) In this case, the application means (240) for sanitizing substance (S) are formed by the same means (220) for applying the glue (C).

    Abstract: The device for driving folding arms of comb-like folding means along a closed operating path is used on an interfolding machine 100 for production of interfolded packs of sheets of tissue paper or another material and is mounted on a frame 10a situated in the lower part of the machine 100. A connecting rod-crank transmission assembly 13 is mounted on the frame 10a and connected to the comb-like 2, to drive the latter along the closed operating path.
