  • Patent number: 10743825
Abstract: A method and apparatus for acquiring a radiographic image of a patient includes using an X-ray source and at least a X-ray detector supported in opposed positions, the area under investigation being positioned between the X-ray source and detector in the propagation bundle of the radiation emitted by the X-ray source, the X-ray source and detector being movable along a pre-set trajectory due to at least two movements. The X-ray dose administered to a patient can be adjusted automatically, dispensing the minimum dose necessary to achieve a radiographic image of good quality. The method and apparatus provide for performing a scout acquisition, preceding the acquisition of a real panoramic image, in a particularly efficient way. During the scout acquisition, data are collected for adjusting the X-ray dose for the following radiographic image acquisition.

  • Patent number: 7080803
Abstract: A device that is adapted to wind a web of material includes a winding body to which a start of a material web can be connected. The material web is wound by rotation of the winding body which includes two clamping elements that can be displaced with respect to each other. A clamping gap is defined by these two clamping elements and the start of the material web can be placed in this clamping gap. These two clamping elements of the winding body are pressed against one another while clamping the start of the web. A guiding element, such as a plate is provided to guide the material web start to the clamping gap. A method for preparing a material roll is also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 6877943
Abstract: At least one supply roll is conveyed by use of a roll support surface. The supply roll can be placed on the roll support surface with its longitudinal axis essentially horizontal. The supply roll can be rolled in at least one conveying direction with its lateral surface on the roll support surface. At least one transport element, with at least one rotating drive device can be brought into contact with the lateral surface of the supply roll from below. The drive device can be driven in at least one conveying direction.

  • Patent number: 6790302
Abstract: An adhesive strip is usable to prepare a material roll for a flying roll change. A support strip has at least one adhesive layer or stripe on its upper surface. A further adhesive zone is provided on the undersurface of the support strip. The adhesive zone includes at least two adhesive layers which are separated from each other by a backing paper. An additional separate adhesive strip is also placed on the undersurface of the support strip, spaced from the adhesive zone and without a backing paper.

  • Publication number: 20030133781
Abstract: The invention relates to a device for conveying at least one supply roll, comprising a roll support surface on which the supply roll can be placed with its longitudinal axis extending essentially horizontally. The supply roll can be rolled out in at least one conveying direction with its lateral surface on said roll support surface. The device has at least one transport element with at least one rotating drive device. The carrying run of said drive device can be brought into contact with the lateral surface of the supply roll from below, directly or indirectly, and can be driven in at least one conveying direction.
