  • Publication number: 20240085445
Abstract: Detection method for sample presence and device associated The invention relates to a detection method of liquid presence inside a well of a transparent or translucent support intended for analysis performed in a device for in vitro detection and/or quantification, the presence of liquid being assessed on the basis of an index of visible pattern likelihood representative of the probability of a pattern to be legible as expected in the field of view of an imager. Said invention allows preventing assay execution without sample and can be applied without wasting sample or sample well support in case of the sample well is not filled by the user. Moreover, this method allows a precise detection of the samples that are transparent or translucent, with low reflectance.

  • Patent number: 9804591
Abstract: A method and system for scheduling a plurality of concurrent job sequences with constraints of precedence and mutual exclusion is described. In particular, a scheduler for a system performing biological analyzes on clinical samples including non-preemptible jobs which must use a set of resources (machines) and having constraints on release times and execution times is described. The scheduling method uses on-purpose algorithmic solution that extracts the core of DBM data structures and Floyd-Warshall algorithm from the engine of a full-fledged Model Checking tool and tailors it to the specific requirements of the case.

  • Patent number: 9292725
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method and system for identifying and reading a barcode on a circular label. Such method and system, in the embodiment discussed, is concretely addressed to a specific example in the engineering of a barcode reader in an electromechanical system for biological analyzes which uses cone-shaped tubes and corresponding strips of fluid containers. It is a requirement of the system that the right cone matches with the right strip. In order to avoid any human error, barcode reading system is implemented, by placing a barcode (e.g. a 2D barcode) on the cone-shaped tube and a barcode on the strip: however the particular shape of the cone poses some problems in the automatic localization and reading of the barcode on the circular label on top of the cone.

  • Publication number: 20080074424
Abstract: A system and methods are provided which are configured to store and display video-animated objects, re-rendering digital content objects according to the specific animation characteristics of the video-animated objects and superimposing the video-animated objects with the re-rendered digital content object. The digitally-augmented reality video system comprises means for storing an animated video content object, for example a movie of a model, means for generating virtual video meta-data from the animated video content object, means for storing a digital content object, means for re-rendering the digital content object according to the virtual video meta-data, and means for superimposing the displayed animated video content object along with the re-rendered digital content object at a predefined and tracked position. Previously-stored digital content objects, for example pictures, may thus be “naturally” integrated into a previously-produced “neutral” animated video content object.

  • Publication number: 20080033814
Abstract: A virtual advertising system is provided comprising means for storing at least one panorama content object of a real world, means for generating virtual image meta data from the panorama content object, means for storing at least one advertising content object, means for re-rendering the advertising content objects according to the virtual image meta data, and means for superimposing the displayed panorama content object with the re-rendered advertising content object at a defined position. This abstract is provided to comply with rules requiring an abstract, and it is submitted with the intention that it will not be used to interpret or limit the scope or meaning of the claims.

  • Publication number: 20070038944
Abstract: An augmented reality system comprises means for gathering image data of a real environment, means for generating virtual image data from said image data, means for identifying a predefined marker object of the real environment based on the image data, and means for superimposing a set of object image data with the virtual image data at a virtual image position corresponding to the predefined marker object.
