  • Patent number: 11208544
Abstract: A polymer composition comprising: (a) from 50% by volume to 99% by volume, preferably from 70% by volume to 95% by volume, of at least one homopolymer or copolymer of ethylene; (b) from 1% by volume to 50% by volume, preferably from 5% by volume to 30% by volume, of at least two fillers having different thermal conductivity; (c) from 100 ppm to 4000 ppm, preferably from 200 ppm to 3500 ppm of at least one fluoropolymer; the sum of (a)+(b) being 100. Said polymer composition can be used as a phase change material (PCM), in particular for thermal energy storage (TES), more in particular for the storage of solar energy.

  • Publication number: 20210189084
Abstract: There is an expandable vinyl aromatic polymer composition with improved mechanical and insulating properties that includes: a) 60% to 96% by weight of a vinyl aromatic polymer (a); b) 3% to 10% by weight of an expansion agent (b); and c) 1% to 30% by weight of a vinyl aromatic copolymer (c) containing from 1% to 10% by weight of a rubbery component as a dispersed phase, with the condition that the sum of (a), (b) and (c) is 100% by weight together with the process for its preparation and corresponding use and manufactured goods obtainable from that composition.

  • Patent number: 6440134
Abstract: A device for the femoral fixation of the ST and G tendons for the reconstruction of the ACL of the knee, comprises an elongated body (1), passage (2) for anchoring the tendons to the body (1), formed in correspondence to a distal end thereof; and a set bar (9) pivotally supported by the elongated body about a transverse axis in correspondence to a proximal end thereof. The set bar (9) comprises a couple of coaxial stop arms (9b) and is pivotable between two insertion positions, angularly spaced by 180°. While keeping set bar (9) in a insertion position, the device is inserted into consecutive tunnels (12a, 13a) preliminarily formed in the tibia and femur, until the proximal end of the body (1) partly projects out of the femoral tunnel (13a). In such condition the set bar (9) is rotated to a fixation position in order to cause the abutment of the stop arms (9b) against the surface of the femur.
