A displacement unit is assigned to and is configured to modify a position of the deflection element in order to influence a length of the motion track of the cable blank so as to obtain variable lengths of cable.

The detection direction is based on a bending angle of the end region relative to a longitudinal axis of the main part. The pot-shaped sleeve is fixed to the main part, and surrounds the sensor contact and the sensor circuit.
