Abstract: A clasp for a necklace including a string, the clasp being configured to join a first and second free end of a string. The clasp including a first part and a second part and is transitionable between an open when then surfaces of the first and second parts are spaced apart from one another and a closed condition when the surfaces of the first and second parts are positioned on one another. The first and second parts including surfaces configured to be releasably attached to one another by a magnetic connection. The first and second parts each including a throughhole extending lengthwise along an axis extending along a length of the first and second parts, the surfaces of the first and second part being generally transverse to the axis, the throughhole being configured to receive and secure a portion of the string therein.
