  • Publication number: 20240065346
Abstract: This disclosure relates to a garment including a composite nonwoven textile associated with aesthetics, fit, functionality, and the like. The garment can include an upper-body garment (e.g., hoodie), with a fit that allows for relatively easy or free range of motion. In addition, the garment can include one or more various features that contribute to an aesthetic. For instance, the garment can include a seam construction that includes a relatively flat seam and that also provides an interesting aesthetic in which elements of the composite nonwoven construction are exposed. In some examples, a dual-layer hood assembly can include a seam construction that, for aesthetics and/or functionality, can allow a seam to be positioned on an inward facing surface of the hood. In some examples, the garment can include an elegant pocket construction that is associated with a clean aesthetic and reinforced pocket-opening edges and that is relatively easy to manufacture.

  • Patent number: 11559094
Abstract: A training tight having preconfigured compression zones with integrated knit structure patterns is provided herein. The compression zones may have differing compressive properties where zones having a higher compression force are located at the waist and thigh areas of the tight, and zones having a lower compression force are located at the knee and calf area of the tight. The integrated structure patterns modify the compressive properties of the zones in the areas where the patterns are located in order to further customize the compressive properties of the training tight.

  • Publication number: 20220378130
Abstract: Aspects herein are directed to a composite nonwoven textile that includes non-linear entangled seams and method and systems for producing the same. The composite nonwoven textile includes at least a first nonwoven layer, a second layer, and a fill material positioned between the first nonwoven layer and the second layer. When the composite nonwoven textile is formed into a garment, the regions between the non-linear entangled seams may help store and retain heat to provide insulation, and the non-linear entangled seams may help prevent shifting or drift of the fill material.

  • Patent number: 11484068
Abstract: Aspects of a flat-knit support garment for an upper torso are provided. The flat-knit support garment may include a bra structure having a flat-knit bra material that includes a cup zone, a body zone, a wing zone, a strap zone, and a chestband zone. In some instances, a perimeter of the flat-knit bra comprising a neck opening and armhole openings includes a finished edge treatment corresponding to a high stretch modulus, covered yarn. Such finished edges are generated in seamless construction with the unitary, flat-knit structure of the flat-knit support garment for an upper torso. The flat-knit characteristics of the support garment for an upper torso may correspond to one or more of a flat-knit stitch sequence, a yarn type, and/or a finishing treatment.

  • Publication number: 20220136150
Abstract: Aspects herein are directed to a recyclable, asymmetrical-faced composite nonwoven textile suitable for use in apparel and other articles and methods of making the same. In example aspects, the asymmetrical-faced composite nonwoven textile includes a first face formed, at least in part from a first entangled web of fibers and an opposite second face formed, at least in part from a second entangled web of fibers. When incorporated into an article of apparel, the first face forms an outer-facing surface of the article of apparel, and the second face forms an inner-facing surface of the article of apparel. The first face includes features making it suitable to form the outer-facing surface such as resistance to abrasion, and the second face includes features making it suitable to form an inner-facing surface such as a soft hand.
