The braking system comprises also a second magnetic sensor, arranged at a predetermined distance from the first magnetic sensor, to measure the magnetic field induced on the flywheel as conditioned by the structure of the gymnastic machine, and a temperature sensor, arranged in correspondence of the first magnetic sensor, to detect the temperature of the flywheel. The system comprises a control logic unit, operatively connected to the first and second magnetic sensor, to the temperature sensor and to the angular velocity sensor.

The illuminator is powerable by a driving signal which corresponds to a first current signal in a first operating mode for illuminating an image to be acquired and is powerable by the driving signal which corresponds to a second current signal in a second operating mode for emitting a visual indication indicating the outcome of the reading of the coded information, read by coded information reading means. The illuminator, which acts as a flash to acquire an image in the first operating mode, thus also acts as a visual indication of the reading outcome in the second operating mode and illuminates with a continuous or intermittent light the space in front of the illuminator to indicate to an operator that the coded information has been read.
