  • Patent number: 10737071
Abstract: In some examples, a splittable sheath includes a sheath body defining a lumen configured to receive an expandable balloon of a catheter, and a tab extending from a proximal end or a distal end of the sheath body. The tab includes a major surface having an outer edge defining a serpentine shape. Outward movement of the tab relative to a central longitudinal axis of the sheath body causes splitting of the sheath body.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: January 19, 2018
Date of Patent: August 11, 2020
    Assignee: MEDTRONIC, INC.
    Inventors: Massimo Morero, Andrea Sassi

  • Publication number: 20100017972
Abstract: The present invention relates to a new class of adducts containing peptidic-based segments of proteic hydrolysates and gelatins, chemically bound to polymeric-based segments of polyethylene glycol (PEG) with variable length and processes for the preparation thereof. The new materials can also contain segments of acrylic or vinylic polymers.
