  • Publication number: 20230392455
Abstract: A stabilization manipulator for manipulating and moving drilling elements in a drilling rig includes a linear guide fixed to a drill floor; a carriage having a base and sliding blocks, sliding along the linear guide between a positions close to and distant from a well; a first arm having a first end constrained to the carriage base, to rotate about a horizontal axis; and a separate second arm having a first end constrained to the carriage base, to rotate about a horizontal axis. A roller is constrained to the first arm second end, to rotate about an axis substantially perpendicular to the first arm, changing position relative to the first arm. A roller is constrained to the second arm second end, to rotate about an axis substantially perpendicular to the second arm, changing position relative to the second arm. A rotation system rotates the base about a vertical axis.

  • Publication number: 20230366277
Abstract: A multifunction manipulator includes a carriage; an articulated arm; a robotic apparatus; and a manipulation head. The robotic apparatus moves the manipulation head with at least three degrees of freedom. The manipulator moves the manipulation head with at least five degrees of freedom. The carriage includes a sliding block; a pulley-type hoisting device having a winch; an emergency braking system to prevent the carriage from moving due to malfunction of the hoisting system and to slide the carriage vertically. The articulated arm has a monolithic body constrained at a first end to the carriage, and at a second end to a first end of the robotic apparatus. The manipulation head connects to a second end of the robotic apparatus. The articulated arm includes first and second actuators. The articulated arm and robotic apparatus have electric actuators controlled independently by a control system of the manipulator.

  • Patent number: 11591863
Abstract: A multifunction handler for handling drilling elements in a drilling rig includes a slide, which has a guide system and a lifting system. The slide is adapted to slide along a first axis parallel to the longitudinal extension of a drilling rig mast. An articulated arm, a robotic apparatus, and a handling head are adapted to seize, hold and release a drilling element. The articulated arm is fixed at a first end to the slide. A first end of the robotic apparatus is fixed to the second end of the articulated arm. The articulated arm allows moving the robotic apparatus along a second axis perpendicular to the first axis. The handling head connects to the second end of the robotic apparatus. The robotic apparatus moves the handling head with at least three degrees of freedom and the handler moves the handling head with at least five degrees of freedom.

  • Patent number: 10822883
Abstract: A mobile well drilling apparatus for a drilling site with clustered wells includes a substructure. A mast includes hinging points and fixing points. The mast is hinged to the substructure via the hinging points, about which the mast rotates between a horizontal and a vertical position. A drill floor includes a first portion hinged to the mast, and a second portion fixed to the mast and moving integrally therewith; and a draw-works permanently installed on the substructure. The substructure includes first and second sub-bases. The sub-bases are parallel and spaced apart. The first portion of the drill floor includes a connection portion facing one of the sub-bases. The hinging points are connected to one of the sub-bases. In operation, the fixing points are connected to the opposite sub-base. Each sub-base includes hydraulic walking devices adapted to move the well drilling apparatus between the clustered wells on the drilling site.
