  • Publication number: 20180224011
Abstract: A lubricant reservoir system includes a lubricant reservoir having an interior wall and an inlet for receiving lubricant from a supply. A follower device in the reservoir contacts the interior wall of the reservoir in a sliding and sealing manner, and the follower device is movable up and down in the reservoir from a first position to a second position in response to a changing lubricant level. A valve is in fluid communication with the inlet and is configured to selectively prevent a flow of the lubricant through the inlet. A connector operatively connects the follower device to the valve unit such that the flow of the lubricant through the inlet is prevented when the follower device is in the second position. The connector is configured such that the valve is positionable independently of the reservoir.

  • Publication number: 20150260185
Abstract: A lubricant supplying device includes a feed pump that serves to pump lubricant from a lubricant reservoir to at least one lubrication point. A method for operating the lubricant supplying device includes measuring at least one operating parameter, such as temperature (T), of at least one part of a system to be lubricated and/or of the lubricant and/or of the environment. The at least one measured operating parameter (T) is supplied to a controller, where a required volumetric flow ({dot over (V)}target) of lubricant is determined based on a stored functional relationship ({dot over (V)}target=ƒ(T)) that generates the required volumetric flow ({dot over (V)}target) based upon the measured operating parameter (T). The feed pump is then actuated in order to achieve the determined, required volumetric flow ({dot over (V)}target).

  • Patent number: 8544610
Abstract: The invention relates to a lubricant dispenser having a storage container, an outlet channel, and a pump element disposed between the storage container and outlet channel for conveying lubricant. A piston is sealed in a cylinder and is movable between two positions, of which, in a suction position, the cylinder is in a flow connection with the storage container. The cross-section area of the piston is smaller than the cross-section area of the storage container. The piston and the cylinder are adapted to one another such that, upon a movement of the piston into the suction position thereof, a negative pressure may be generated in the cylinder as compared to the pressure in the storage container for taking in or letting in lubricant from the storage container into the cylinder, and such that, upon a movement of the piston in the opposite direction out of the suction position in the cylinder, a positive pressure may be generated for conveying the lubricant out of the cylinder into the outlet channel.

  • Publication number: 20120181114
Abstract: The invention pertains to a lubricant distributor for distributing lubricant to several lubricating points, with a cavity, in which a piston is arranged in a sealed and movable fashion. Several lubricant outlets, which are sealed relative to the cavity by the piston, lead into the cavity. The distributor has a lubricant inlet, from which at least one inlet channel leads into the cavity. A drive unit is provided for moving the piston in the cavity in a defined fashion. At least one channel is formed in the piston and makes it possible to produce a fluidic connection between the at least one inlet channel and one of the lubricant outlets depending on the position of the piston within the cavity. The invention furthermore pertains to a lubricating system that includes such a lubricant distributor and a lubricant pump that is connected to the lubricant inlet via a line.
