    Abstract: A light-reflecting and/or transmitting element for a motor vehicle light is provided. The light-reflecting or transmitting element is coated with a surface coating which includes a non-water soluble binder, selected from the group consisting of polyacrylic resins, polyester resins and mixtures thereof, which binder is internally cross-linked by methylol groups or externally cross-linked by amino resins, and from about 5% to about 60% by weight of at least one nonionic wetting agent.
