Patent number: 11863225Abstract: An electronic device may include wireless circuitry. The wireless circuitry may include a quadratic phase generator for outputting a perfectly interpolated constant amplitude zero autocorrelation (CAZAC) sequence for a transmit path. The quadratic phase generator may include a numerically controlled oscillator, a switch controlled based on a value output from the numerically controlled oscillator, a first integrator stage, and a second integrator stage connected in series with the first integrator stage. The numerically controlled oscillator may receive as inputs a chirp count and a word length. The switch may be configured to switchably feed one of two input values that are a function of the chirp count and the word length to the first integrator stage. The quadratic phase generator may output full-bandwidth chirps or reduced-bandwidth chirps. Bandwidth reduction can be achieved by scaling the two input values of the switches.Type: GrantFiled: September 7, 2021Date of Patent: January 2, 2024Assignee: Apple Inc.Inventors: Andreas Menkhoff, Andreas Boehme, Bernhard Sogl, Jochen Schrattenecker, Joonhoi Hur

Patent number: 9354844Abstract: A method and an apparatus are described which determine at least one output value based on at least one input value. The input value is provided to a processing unit, wherein a combination of intermediate values is iteratively calculated. Each intermediate value is calculated during an iteration such that the intermediate value for each iteration is buffered, using a buffer storage. Based on the combination of the buffered intermediate values a storage is accessed, the storage storing a plurality of first output values, each first output value associated with a respective combination of the buffered intermediate values, so that the first output value is output.Type: GrantFiled: December 10, 2012Date of Patent: May 31, 2016Assignee: Intel Deutschland GmbHInventors: Andreas Boehme, Andreas Menkhoff

Patent number: 9265135Abstract: A method and an associated apparatus for controlling a heating current flowing through an emitter of a pulsed X-ray tube during pulse pauses are provided. The heating current is controlled by comparing a measured actual value of the heating current with a predefinable desired value of the heating current. A low-pass filtering of the actual value of the heating current is effected before the comparison. A time constant of the low-pass filtering is equal to a thermal time constant of the emitter. A correction of the actual value of the heating current is provided before the low-pass filtering by a first correction value. The first correction value is determined such that a tube current control during the pulses is not compensated for by the heating current control in the pulse pauses.Type: GrantFiled: January 9, 2014Date of Patent: February 16, 2016Assignee: Siemens AktiengesellschaftInventors: Rudolf Auernhammer, Andreas Böhme, Johannes Walk
