  • Patent number: 12607454
Abstract: A device and a method for capturing the surface of a rotation body for a printing press, being a cylinder, a roller, a sleeve for a cylinder or roller, or a sleeve for a cylinder or roller having a printing form, include a motor rotating the body around an axial axis, a light source illuminating an area of the surface using optical light, and an optical camera capturing the illuminated area. An optical apparatus guides the light of first and second partial beams to an image sensor of the camera. The first partial beam tangentially strikes or touches the surface at a first point, then reaches the camera, and the second partial beam radially strikes the surface at a different second point, then reaches the camera. Rapid and precise measurements or types of measurements are performed simultaneously or using the same measures, for example in mounters for flexographic printing plates.

  • Patent number: 7891660
Abstract: In a device for the transport of sheets in a sheet-processing machine, preferably a printing press, provision is made to transport the sheets on chain-guided gripper bars. The gripper bars are fixed respectively to two chain links arranged indirectly beside each other. The forces acting on the gripper bars are more evenly distributed.

  • Patent number: 7823881
Abstract: A method of depositing sheets coming out of a sheet-processing machine includes decelerating the sheets and depositing the sheets of a main pile. Certain sheets are decelerated and fed to a second sheet pile. The system includes a device for decelerating the sheets arriving from the sheet-processing machine and for depositing the sheets on a main pile. A chain gripper system is configured to hold and decelerate a trailing edge of the sheets. The chain gripper system includes an adjustable gripper opening cam.

  • Patent number: 7784785
Abstract: An apparatus for forming stacks in sheet-processing machines, in particular printing machines, includes side stops moving back and forth. The stops are divided into upper and lower parts. The lower part can be displaced vertically or in slotted guides and can interact with a switch in order to switch off a stack lift drive.

  • Patent number: 7726651
Abstract: An apparatus for ejecting sheets from a sheet transport path onto an auxiliary stack disposed upstream of a main stack, includes a planar sheet guide surface having a sheet ejection opening formed therein. The sheet ejection opening is closed by a sheet separating element and a flap, in a closed state. The separating element and the flap also serve as guide elements during the ejection of sheets.

  • Patent number: 6907825
Abstract: A delivery for a machine for processing flat printing materials includes sheet brakes for accepting sheets fed in a processing direction at an acceptance level and for releasing the sheets at a surrender level. The sheet brakes are adjustably disposed for varying the acceptance level and the surrender level. A machine is provided for processing flat printing materials, having the delivery.
