Abstract: A computer-implemented method for designing a data collection campaign for a motor vehicle. The method includes determining a maximum storage capacity of a ring memory of a motor vehicle; determining information needed to achieve a predefined objective of the data collection campaign; determining data present in the motor vehicle; selecting the data to be stored in the ring memory via the data collection campaign from the data present in the motor vehicle based on the maximum storage capacity of the ring memory and the information needed to achieve the predefined objective of the data collection campaign; and defining the data collection campaign based on the selected data to be stored in the ring memory by means of the data collection campaign.
