  • Publication number: 20090094685
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for accessing MNP data, which is stored in an MNP memory in a mobile radio network, by a network-external data processing device. The network interface, which in terms of signal flow is arranged between the network-external data processing device and the MNP memory, checks whether the network-external data processing device is authorized to access the MNP data. If the authorization is present, an identification for a communication terminal is transmitted by the network interface from the network-external data processing device to the MNP memory, MNP data which is associated with the communication terminal is read from the MNP memory, and this MNP data is transmitted via the network interface to the network-external data processing device.

  • Patent number: 6850756
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for charging for telecommunications links in a communications network. When a setup request for a communications link which is directed to a communications terminal and incurs a charge for a charge account associated with the communications terminal is deleted, a network node in the communications network performs sequences for setting up the communications link and forwarding sequences for setting up a forwarding communications link. To bill telecommunication charges securely and reliably at all times, even in the course of roaming, forwarding information is stored in a memory network node in the communications network during the forwarding sequences. Debiting of communication charges for the communications link from the charge account associated with the communications terminal is prevented if the memory network node stores the forwarding information.

  • Publication number: 20040132463
Abstract: A method for transmitting position data relating to a moving object, in which a partial mobile communication call is set up from a mobile communication terminal, connected to the object, to a control node in the mobile communication network and is used to transmit the position data from the mobile communication terminal to the mobile communication network. The control node then terminates the partial mobile communication call, and the position data are detected using the mobile communication network and are forwarded to a reception computer.

  • Publication number: 20030083990
Abstract: The invention relates to a system and method for operating a charging system for charging for the use of services and for the transmission of service data, using a terminal, a communications network having a network operator, where the charging system ascertains a use charge and a transmission charge before a service is used and before the service data are transmitted, ascertains a total charge by correlating the two charge types, and initiates a debit operation for the charges from a credit account belonging to a service user. The invention also illustrates a charging system for carrying out the method.

  • Patent number: 6535741
Abstract: If, during the initialization of an MTC service for a subscriber (TNB) to a telecommunications network which is in the form of a an overlay network, the performance required to carry out the service exceeds the performance level supported by the access SSP node (SS1), the service control point (SCP) uses the call address to produce a routing address which contains information relating to further routes of the call to a second SSP node (SS2) which supports the required performance level, and transmits (5) this to the first SSP node (SS1) for passing it on.

  • Publication number: 20020107038
Abstract: A method for transmitting short messages from a mobile terminal and a method for receiving short messages from a mobile terminal, in each case in a mobile radio network, wherein the short message service center is a central point in the network for short messages and the approach to a solution which is acceptable for the network operator is a closed concept with respect to SMS, starting from the original terminal, or ending at the terminating terminal.

  • Publication number: 20020098856
Abstract: A method and system for sending out short messages from a mobile terminal in a mobile radio network, wherein the incoming/outgoing CAMEL application part interaction is suppressed at the mobile switching center, but the short message is processed in an IN-related manner at the short message service center. In the mobile originating (transmitting) case, the mobile switching center takes from the short message service the calling party address, and in the mobile terminating (receiving) case it takes the called party address and sends it, together with a transmitting/receiving indication, to the home location register of the terminal via an unstructured supplementary service data string.
