  • Patent number: 11464042
Abstract: A system and method of Random-Access Response, RAR, messaging when a base station employs narrow beamforming. Multiple RAR messages are successively transmitted from the base station to a User Equipment, UE, before any response to a RAR message is received from the UE. Thus, despite any calibration mismatch between Uplink, UL, and Downlink, DL, beams in the beamformed system, a RAR message is not only received by the UE, but is received over the most-suitable DL beam for that UE. Each RAR message may contain a message-specific scheduling-delay indicator in the UL grant carried in the RAR message to provide an adjustable time delay for the UE's uplink transmission scheduled by the UL grant. Multiple RAR transmissions can schedule a single UL transmission at a specific time instance or different UL transmissions at different time intervals. The UE may report to the base station the best DL RAR transmission detected by the UE.

  • Patent number: 11343841
Abstract: It is disclosed a network node, a communication device and methods therein, for scheduling of uplink resources in multiple time instances and transmitting in accordance with the scheduled UL resources. By including an indicator in an UL grant comprising an UL resource allocation, the indicator indicates that, for at least one UL time instance of the multiple time instances, at least one UL resource is excluded from, or added to, the UL resource allocation of the UL grant.

  • Publication number: 20210185720
Abstract: Embodiments herein relate to method performed by a radio-network node for handling a data transmission, from a wireless device to the radio-network node, in a wireless communication network. The radio-network node schedules one or more resources for carrying an uplink data transmission from the wireless device over a channel, and for carrying a feedback transmission, of a downlink data transmission from the radio-network node, over the same channel. The radio-network node transmits a control message to the wireless device, which control message indicates the one or more resources scheduled for carrying the uplink data transmission and the feedback transmission over the same channel.

  • Patent number: 10892871
Abstract: A cellular network supports radio communication based on a first configuration which organizes a time-frequency space in first resource elements and radio communication based on a second configuration which organizes the time-frequency space in second resource elements and assigns at least one of the second resource elements to a utilization which is in conflict with the radio communication based on the first configuration. A node of the cellular network sends an indication to a communication device. The indication comprises time domain and/or frequency domain information for defining a pattern comprising at least one of the first resource elements which is to be disregarded by the communication device when performing radio communication with the cellular network based on the first configuration and/or the second configuration.

  • Patent number: 10880760
Abstract: Methods, nodes and arrangements for supporting identification of one or more neighboring network nodes comprised in a wireless communication network. A communication device is associated with a communicative connection to a first network node, e.g. a serving base station. The communication device obtains a first identifier identifying the first network node, and transmits the obtained first identifier in an uplink so that the first identifier is receivable by one or more other, second network nodes, e.g. non-serving base stations. Receipt of the first identifier by a second network node enables identification of the first radio network node as neighboring said second radio network node. The second network node obtains, based on the first identifier, an address of the first network node, and/or a second identifier uniquely identifying the first network node, in the wireless communication network.

  • Patent number: 10856313
Abstract: A first network node (110; 111; 112; 130), a wireless device (120) and methods thereof, for managing one or more uplink resources between the wireless device (120) and a wireless communication network (100) are provided. The first network node (110; 11; 112; 130) compiles (204; 401) resource information about uplink resources available for the wireless device (120) to select and request for uplink scheduling. Said resource information associates each one of multiple such uplink resources with one or more downlink reference signals. The first network node (110; 111; 112; 130) sends (205; 402) the compiled resource information to the wireless device (120). The wireless device (120) 10 is thereby enabled to select, based on the resource information and said one or more downlink reference signals, at least one of said uplink resources to request for uplink scheduling.
