  • Publication number: 20080190854
Abstract: L-cysteine-is separated from an L-cysteine-containing fermenter broth containing an oxidizing agent which is capable of oxidizing L-cysteine at pH<5, by contacting the L-cysteine-containing fermenter broth with an ion exchanger at a pH from 5 to 9, the pH in the fermenter broth becoming <5, and preferably <2. The L-cysteine binds to the ion exchanger and the bound L-cysteine is then removed from the ion exchanger by means of an eluant.

  • Publication number: 20070215150
Abstract: The compressor comprises two compression spaces (1, 5) separate from one another, one of which serves to generate the continuous pressure medium flow for the generation of a basic aerosol flow, whereas the other is used to generate the pressure variations. The shared compression means (4), for example a piston, is moved in a pendulum motion by a drive (7) so that a gas is conveyed through the first compression space and pressure variations are imposed upon a gas volume via the second compression space. The drive is disposed in a compression space, use advantageously being made of the space volume available that may if necessary be made use of by the compressor. In a preferred embodiment the drive (7) is located in the compression space (5) that is used to generate the pressure variations.

  • Publication number: 20070181133
Abstract: The invention regards a therapeutic aerosol device in which a main aerosol flow, which is generated with the help of a compressed gas and is supplied to one of the nostrils of a user, is superimposed by pressure fluctuations. The superimposition of the pressure fluctuations occurs directly at one of the two nostrils of the user. A flow resistance is provided in the other nostril.

  • Publication number: 20070119449
Abstract: The aim of the invention is to connect a nebulizer to a breathing air tube of a respirator. Said aim is achieved by a nebulizer-connecting device comprising a breathing air-directing unit that is provided with a first mechanism for connecting a duct supplying breathing air, a second mechanism for connecting a duct evacuating breathing air, and a third mechanism for connecting the nebulizer, and a sealing unit which is arranged on the third connecting mechanism and by means of which a flow path for an aerosol generated by the nebulizer can be unblocked when the nebulizer is connected while said flow path for an aerosol generated by the nebulizer can be sealed therewith when the nebulizer is removed. A sealing member is opened when the nebulizer is connected while being closed when the nebulizer is removed.

  • Publication number: 20060254578
Abstract: The inhalation therapy device comprises a nebulising nozzle 1, to which compressed air 6 can be supplied for nebulising a liquid 5, a compressor 8 having an electromotive drive 8b for generating the compressed air supplied to the nebulising nozzle, and an electric energy store 9 for providing electric energy for the electromotive drive 8b of the compressor 8. The electric energy store 9 thereby comprises a stabilising device 9b that ensures a constant output voltage of the energy store 9.

  • Publication number: 20060162722
Abstract: A therapeutic aerosol device in which an aerosol generated by a nebulising device is supplied through a nosepiece to a patient's nostril so that the main aerosol flow supplied is able to emerge from the other nostril. The main aerosol flow is superimposed by pressure fluctuations. In order to guarantee that, due to the pressure fluctuation, aerosol is transported to the paranasal sinuses, a low resistance device is provided in the other nostril.

  • Publication number: 20060088028
Abstract: A method and central computer-based platform for providing services of various service providers to one or more subscribers who can be assigned to different communications systems are provided. The method and system involve the provision of location-based services of various service providers to subscribers of various communications systems which can be easily and flexibly controlled. A plurality of subscribers, who can belong to different communications systems, are logged onto a central device to which various service provider(s) are assigned. Authorization data of at least one subscriber, which authorizes the service provider(s) to make one or more services available to the at least one subscriber, are subsequently stored in the central device. Localization data of the logged-on subscribers are transmitted to the central device and stored there. The authorized service providers make services available to the subscribers as a function of the subscriber-based localization data.

  • Patent number: 6990540
Abstract: A method and device is described for transmitting information on a bus system having at least two users, as well as a bus system, exactly one superordinate user (master) and at least one subordinate user (slave) being provided, and the information being transmitted in a definable, closed message frame which, in addition to the information to be transmitted, also contains synchronization information, different information being uniquely assigned different information identifiers; after each closed message frame, a number of information sections being provided in which the at least one subordinate user may enter information.

  • Publication number: 20050041765
Abstract: A master unit and at least one slave unit, each having a time signal transmitter for providing a time signal whose value is representative for a time elapsed since a zero point in time, are connected via a bus and are synchronized. The synchronization is by: a) transmitting a synchronizing signal defining an instant on the bus; storing the value of the time signal provided by the time signal transmitter of at least each slave unit at the instant defined by the synchronizing signal; c) transmitting the value that the time signal of the master unit has at the instant defined by the synchronizing signal; d)ascertaining, in each slave unit, a time differential corresponding to the difference between the time signal value stored in b) and the time signal value transmitted in c), and correcting the time signal transmitter of the slave unit according to the ascertained time differential.

  • Patent number: 6658424
Abstract: The present mechanism offers customers a method for comparing products in electronic-commerce applications. The present invention further involves the accessing of a database management system, in which the user controls the product selection with the aid of control buttons. After data is read out from the database of the database management system and after converting an internal data structure containing the products/objects of the database, a product list can be created. By comparing the products in the product list to criteria for the desired product specified by the customer in the form of a comparison function, the objects selected on the basis of the comparison function can be entered into a result list and can be displayed to the customer. The invention can be used in e-commerce applications on the Internet because, among other things, it can make searching for products easier for the customer.
