  • Publication number: 20230398005
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for controlling a prosthetic foot (10) which has an upper part (11) with a fastening element (13) for a proximal prosthetic component (20) and a foot part (12) mounted thereon so as to be pivotable about a pivot axis (15), comprising a resistance device (40) used to counteract a pivoting movement of the foot part (12) relative to the upper part (11) by way of an adjustable resistance (Am), and comprising a control device (70) which is coupled to the resistance device (40) and to at least one sensor (60) and by means of which the resistance to pivoting is set on the basis of sensor data, wherein ground contact of the foot part (12) with the ground is determined by way of at least one sensor (60), wherein the relative spatial position of the foot part (12) and/or of the upper part (11) is determined using an inertial measurement unit (30) and wherein the resistance (Am) to pivoting is altered on the basis of the presence or lack of ground contact and the determined relative spa

  • Publication number: 20220304832
Abstract: The invention relates to an orthopedic device with an energy storage device 2 that comprises at least one cylinder 4, in which a first cylinder chamber 6, a second cylinder chamber 8, which is fluidically connected to the first cylinder chamber 6 by at least one fluid line 14, and a piston 10 are located, wherein the piston 10 is arranged relative to the cylinder 4 such that it can be displaced in such a way that by displacing the piston 4, an operating medium, which is a fluid, is conveyed through the at least one fluid line 14 from one cylinder chamber 6, 8 into the other cylinder chamber 8, 6, wherein the energy storage device 2 has at least one compensation volume 24, which is fluidically connected to the fluid line 14 via a fluid connection 22, and a first controllable valve 26, by means of which the fluid connection 22 can be opened and closed.

  • Publication number: 20220287856
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for controlling a prosthetic foot that has a foot part and a lower leg part which are connected to each other by means of a joint that allows a plantar flexion and a dorsal flexion, the damping behavior of the joint being adjustable, wherein the method comprises the following steps: a) detecting measured values which allow for statements to be made about the rollover behavior of the prosthetic foot by means of at least one sensor, b) comparing the detected measured values and/or at least one parameter determined from said values with stored target values, and c) adjusting the damping behavior depending on the comparison.
