  • Publication number: 20220161773
Abstract: A connection of a piston-cylinder unit of an power brake pressure generator of an electrohydraulic power vehicle braking system to an unpressurized brake fluid reservoir with the aid of a pressure limiting valve and a controllable valve. The pressure limiting valve prevents pressure spikes in the vehicle braking system if inlet valves of hydraulic wheel brakes of the vehicle braking system are closed during a pressure buildup with the aid of the power brake pressure generator. Brake fluid may be drawn in or discharged from the brake fluid reservoir via the controllable valve during a slip control.

  • Patent number: 10668911
Abstract: A controller is configured to control at least one valve of a brake system of a vehicle that is closed in a de-energized state. The controller includes an actuation device configured to actuate the valve into an open state and to keep the valve in the open state. A holding current with at least one first average target current strength is output as a control signal by the actuation device to the valve. The holding current output to the valve is increased to at least one second average target current strength which is greater than the first average target current strength while taking into consideration provided information pertaining to a current rotational speed of an electric motor of a piston/cylinder device of the brake system and/or at least one current hydraulic pressure in at least one sub-volume of the brake system.

  • Patent number: 10661770
Abstract: A control device for a hydraulic brake system of a vehicle; as a reaction to a supplied warning signal as to a probable, early request for braking, the control device being configured to force at least one wheel exhaust valve of the hydraulic brake system into an open position in an undelayed or delayed manner and to activate a motor of a motorized hydraulic device of the hydraulic brake system; and as a reaction to a supplied brake setpoint signal as to requested braking with a current, setpoint deceleration not equal to zero, the control device being configured to force the at least one wheel exhaust valve into a closed position and to control the motor according to the setpoint deceleration currently requested. The present invention also relates to a hydraulic brake system for a vehicle and to a method for operating a hydraulic brake system of a vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20190217832
Abstract: A method for operating a hydraulic braking system of a motor vehicle, including at least one hydraulically actuatable wheel brake, a brake pedal unit including an actuatable brake pedal for predefining a setpoint braking torque, and a pressure generator which is electrically actuated in order to generate a hydraulic pressure as a function of the setpoint braking torque, an electrical operating current of the pressure generator being limited to a first predefinable limiting value during normal operation. The brake pedal unit is monitored for the nature of actuation of the brake pedal, and the limitation of the operating current is canceled if highly dynamic actuation of the brake pedal is detected.

  • Patent number: 9193341
Abstract: A slip-controlled hydraulic vehicle brake system includes a first hydraulic pump configured to draw brake fluid out of wheel brakes or out of a hydraulic accumulator connected to the wheel brakes. The brake system also includes two further hydraulic pumps configured to be connected to a brake master cylinder for a rapid pressure buildup. To pump against a high brake pressure while the vehicle brake system is actuated, only the first hydraulic pump is used, while the other two hydraulic pumps are separated from the brake master cylinder and run “at idle” at the same time. The necessary mechanical driving power of the hydraulic pumps is thereby reduced, and a very rapid pressure buildup is nevertheless possible.
