  • Patent number: 9670607
Abstract: A slide needle, comprising a needle body, which has a needle hook with two spaced-apart lateral hook surfaces. A slide is movably arranged on the needle body between an initial position (I) and a stitch knock-over position (II). The slide has two slide blades. A hook hole on a free blade end of the slide blades is formed by inner hole surfaces. In the stitch knock-over position (II), each inner hole surface lies against an associated lateral hook surface of the needle hook at a contact location and the contact area between the slide and the needle hook is reduced in a height direction (H).

  • Patent number: 8578740
Abstract: The slider (17) of an improved slider needle (10) comprises a slot guide (24), wherein the slider springs (18, 19) are provided with a dual deformation on their respective cam follower sections (29). The dual deformation is produced, for example, by a double bend and/or by an additional superficial embossing on a partial surface (34) or also by bending over a section (40) close to the edge. Due to this measure, the guiding precision of the slot guide (24) is improved and, if desired, the penetration space between the two slider springs (18, 19) is also enlarged.

  • Patent number: 7930906
Abstract: A slider needle (1) having a partition element (15) clipped through an insertion slit (19) in the needle base body (2). The partition element (15) is shaped such that it can be easily inserted in the needle base body 2, but is still securely held, optionally with some play, as a result of positive engagement. The partition element comprises, preferably as a one-piece component, a spring part (25) and a foot extension (26) interacting with the bottom (17) of the slider slit. Preferably, the foot extension 26 has two sections (27, 28, 27a, 28a) that are bent in opposite directions, either in a transverse or a longitudinal direction of the otherwise flat partition element (15). In the region of the insertion slit (19), the back (18) of the needle base body (2) has an indentation (24) so that the bent over sections (27, 28, 27a, 28a) cannot project beyond the needle back (18).

  • Patent number: 7878028
Abstract: A knitting needle designed specifically for achieving particularly fine divisions, or another knitting tool (2), has a narrower working section (4) and a wider support section (5), whereby the support section (5) is provided with a positioning means (11), for example, having the form of a slit (12) or having the form of a rib (32). The knitting tool (2) is associated with a fixing means (29) in the form of a projection (17) or a groove (33) on the side of the bar (1). Due to this measure, the support sections (5) of the knitting tools (2) may be arranged—in close proximity to each other, in contact with or at a minimal distance from each other—on the bar (1), so that a maximum cross-section is available for configuring the support section (5). This provides strong stability for the knitting tools (2)—even in cases of extremely fine divisions—and, at the same time, provides precise alignment and avoids division errors.

  • Patent number: 7770416
Abstract: To simplify the setup of a bar and associated tools of a knitting machine and to improve the degree of precision regarding fineness and the level of sturdiness of the tools and bar system, the holding parts (7, 9) of the tools (4, 5) of the tool set (2) are configured differently. On the holding parts (7) of at least one tool type, means (22) are provided for positioning the tools (4) on the bar and thus means for defining the division. Separate positioning means for positioning and defining the division may be assigned to the other tools (5). Alternatively, they may be positioned by the tools (4) of the first type, between which they are accommodated. If positioning grooves are provided in the bar or parts thereof, these grooves may be set up for twice the distance of division, which results in robust and mechanically stable solutions with finer divisions.

  • Patent number: 7641781
Abstract: In a method for coating a substrate, and a coated object, in a first step, in an external current-less or electrolytic manner, nickel and/or cobalt and/or platinum are deposited on a substrate in a deposition bath. In the deposition bath, particles are additionally suspended which contain at least one metal selected from Mg, Al, Ti, Zn and no Cr, the particles becoming occluded in the coating. In a second step, the actual protective layer is produced by heat treatment. The coating of component parts may be used for aircraft turbines or gas turbines or for garbage incineration systems having temperature-resistant protective layers against high temperature corrosion.

  • Patent number: 7624599
Abstract: A knitting tool for a bar (1) of a knitter comprises a shaft (4), which is provided with a plastic body (15) at least on one side, which extends beyond the side surface (11) of the shaft. Said plastic body (15) is in contact with the side surface of the adjacent knitting tool. Thus, both knitting tools concerned are supported at one another.

  • Patent number: 7191620
Abstract: The starting point of a new concept in a latch needle (1) is an attachment of the latch spring (22) in the sawslot (9) of the latch needle from the side of the needle back (7). For this purpose the latch needle (1) has spring-supporting pockets (19, 21) accessible from the needle back (7) or other structures adapted to receive the ends (25, 26) of the latch spring (22). The spring-supporting pockets (19, 21) are closed toward the needle back (7) at least to such an extent that the ends (25, 26) of the latch spring (22) are held in a form-locking, or at least in a captive manner in the spring-supporting pockets (19, 21). Such a latch needle has a reduced tolerance sensitivity during manufacture. The described needle concept makes possible further improvements which contribute to the operational safety and service life of the latch needle.

  • Patent number: 7070050
Abstract: For keeping knitting tools (2) in readiness and mounting them on knitting machines or other loop-forming machines, a tool holder (4) is provided, which is formed by or contains a transport rail (5). The transport rail (5) has two clamping legs (9, 11), which are parallel to one another and are provided with regularly distributed slots (16, 17). The slots firmly clamp inserted knitting tools by frictional engagement. With the knitting tools (2), the transport rail (5) forms a manipulable unit, in which when it is freely handled, the knitting tools (2) do not fall out of the transport rail (5). The pitch of the transport rail preferably matches the pitch of a needle bed of a machine to be equipped. The equipping of the machine is done by placing the transport rail on the needle bed or attaching it to it and pressing the knitting tools away, in a direction approximately perpendicular to the back portion (6) of the transport rail (5), out of their frictionally engaged mounting into their needle channel.
