  • Patent number: 7886717
Abstract: A fuel injector, especially for the direct injection of fuel into a combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine, includes a nozzle body able to be inserted into a recess of a cylinder head, a valve housing, a plug abutting the valve housing, and at least one fixation element, which fixes the nozzle body in its position in the recess, the fixation element extending from a connection region (28) between the valve housing and the plug on the spray-discharge side. The at least one fixation element has a reinforcement having a spherical contour at an outer periphery, the reinforcement being formed by at least one outwardly projecting element having an outwardly curving end face and/or having a planar end face.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 1, 2007
Date of Patent: February 15, 2011
    Assignee: Robert Bosch GmbH
Inventors: Ingo Rettig, Martin Scheffel, Anh-Tuan Hoang, Martin Buehner, Andreas Eckbauer

  • Patent number: 7461638
Abstract: A connector system, free of transverse forces, for a fuel injection valve to be inserted into a receiving orifice into a cylinder head for connection to a fuel distributor line that encompasses a connector to a tubing line leading to a fuel reservoir, has a connecting part for connection to the tubing line. The connector system includes a holddown claw having an elongated opening that completely surrounds the fuel injection valve but allows for a tolerance compensation in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the holddown claw, and provides that the connecting part to the tubing line leading to the fuel reservoir has a tube screw fitting having an end piece. The end piece is embodied so that before the tubing line is screwed down onto the fuel distributor line, it can be moved for tolerance compensation, in a seat on the inflow-side end of the fuel distributor line, in two directions perpendicular to the extent of the tubing line.

  • Patent number: 7373926
Abstract: A support element for the mutual support of a fuel injector in a valve seat, in particular the valve seat of a cylinder head of an internal combustion engine, and of the fuel injector against a fuel distributor, having a clamp and clips provided thereon, as well as a bracket, the fuel injector protruding through a hole therein.
