  • Publication number: 20230055098
Abstract: For producing a high pressure impulse, a hose bending valve is provided that comprises a loop (12) provided in a supply hose of an instrument (2) and a hose bending device (8) provided as multiple-use component. Such a valve is very simply constructed and allows the creation of steep pressure increase flanks with very high pressures up to 100 bar, as are needed for a needleless injection. The sterilization effort is minimal. Also, the material effort is minimal, if single-use components are used.

  • Publication number: 20230050388
Abstract: An instrument having a dosing unit connected to a handle or housing of instrument. The dosing unit may include a reusable actuator with a drive unit and a single-use cartridge. The Cartridge may have a cylinder and a piston, and may be filled by a user prior to the intervention or may be prefilled by the manufacturer. The dosing unit is brought into an open position offset from housing by, for example, operating a latch slider and pulling the dosing unit in a proximal direction. After insertion of the cartridge, the dosing unit may be moved toward housing and the latched slider will lock the dosing unit into a closed position.

  • Publication number: 20200306450
Abstract: An instrument with a first conduit for emitting a first fluid from a first opening of the first conduit in an axial direction into a reacceleration zone and with a second conduit for channeling of a second fluid in the reacceleration zone in axial direction is provided such that active ingredient components, e.g. cells, of the second fluid are reaccelerated in axial direction as a result of the flow in the reacceleration zone by means of the first fluid that enters the reacceleration zone. A coaxial configuration of the first and the second conduit is preferred, because in doing so, around the first opening a shell jet of second fluid can be created that flows downstream in axial direction around the central working jet. In addition, a head for an inventive instrument and an application system with an inventive instrument is provided.

  • Publication number: 20200129700
Abstract: The invention relates to an instrument head, comprising: an exit opening (23); a first feed line (11) for the feed of a first fluid; a second feed line (12) for the feed of a second fluid; a reservoir (24) for storing the fluid fed via the second feed line (12); wherein the reservoir (24) is in fluid communication with the first feed line (11) and/or is adapted to be brought in fluid communication with the first feed line (11) via at least a valve (25) arranged in the instrument head, to deliver fluid stored in the reservoir (24) via the exit opening (23).

  • Publication number: 20200093537
Abstract: A preparation instrument comprising an HF-instrument with an electrode that is partially insulated by means of an insulating body, which is combined with a fluid applicator having a channel arranged in the insulating body for the application of a fluid to or into tissue. In some embodiments of the preparation instrument, the electrode is a spatula electrode which is inserted in the insulating body that does not cover sections of the surface of the electrode so that these sections may be in contact with the tissue. The insulating body preferably forms the channel wall that delimits the channel. The insulating body and the electrode may be flexible in order to adapt the form of the insulating body and the electrode, together, to the surgical task.

  • Patent number: 10589299
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for mixing at least two fluids using an externally mixing nozzle for medical purposes, which has at least two outlet channels (10, 20) and at least two inlet openings (13, 23) with different or identical cross-sections, wherein two fluids with different volumetric flows and/or different viscosity are sprayed, and wherein the ratio of the cross-sections of the inlet channels (13, 23) and/or the outlet channels (10, 20) corresponds to the ratio of the volumetric flows so that the fluids flow with substantially identical flow speeds through the outlet channels (10, 20) and/or the inlet openings (13, 23). The invention furthermore relates to an externally mixing nozzle, a medical instrument and a medical device for spraying substances, in particular biological material.
