  • Patent number: 11857305
Abstract: Disclosed is a system for detecting an internal object in a body. The system includes at least one antenna pair including two antennas which are adapted to be symmetrically positioned around the body in relation to a line of symmetry. The system is adapted to transmit microwave signal into the body which are reflected and/or scattered from the internal object. The system is adapted to receive the reflected and/or scattered microwave signals, and to compare the received microwave signals at the symmetrically positioned antennas. The system is adapted to detect the internal object or a change in an already detected internal object when there is a difference between the received microwave signals at symmetric antenna pairs. The difference is related to the different dielectric properties between the internal object and the body.

  • Publication number: 20230218189
Abstract: The embodiments herein relate to a system and method for detecting an internal object in a body under test. The system comprises at least one antenna which are adapted to be positioned around the body under test. The system is adapted to transmit radio frequency signal(s) into the body under test which are reflected and/or scattered from the internal object. The system is adapted to receive the reflected and/or scattered radio frequency signal(s) and use a method of classification S1-S7 to determine the presence of an internal object. The system is adapted to detect the internal object or a change in an already detected internal object when there is a difference between the received radio frequency signals. The difference is related to the different dielectric properties between the internal object and the body under test.

  • Patent number: 9332922
Abstract: A device, method, and system for monitoring the status of an internal part of a body using an electromagnetic transceiver operating in the microwave regime; a processing unit compares measured data with reference data to determine the status of the internal part. The solution may be arranged to continuously monitor the internal part of the body and the system may be arranged so as to be wearable or portable.

  • Patent number: 8724864
Abstract: The present invention relates to a system and method for non-invasively examination of internal structures of an object by producing dielectric images utilizing reflection and transmission 5 measurements using microwave radiation, characterized by an antenna array surrounding a region of interest for the examination, a microwave transceiver for measuring reflected and transmitted electromagnetic fields, a computational module for receiving detected radiation and for processing data based on the detected radiation, the computational module further being operatively arranged to execute a reconstruction procedure utilized to compute an image of the 10 dielectric profile under detection.
