A method includes receiving data, receiving graph parameters, preparing graphics rendering instructions based on the received data, the received chart parameters, and at least one proprietary font. The graphics rendering instructions comprise a character string and color parameters. The method may include rendering a graph based on the graphics rendering instructions by accessing a proprietary font. The method may be performed by a computing device alone or in a client-server configuration.
