  • Patent number: 12280627
Abstract: Damping arrangement of an active chassis for an axle of a vehicle. A damping system cooperates with each wheel. Each of the damping systems has a damper having a double-acting hydraulic cylinder and a piston, a reversible hydraulic pump and an electric motor, and a hydraulic unit having a hydraulic reservoir and valves. The hydraulic pump and the hydraulic unit of the respective damping system cooperate with the hydraulic cylinder thereof such that, dependent upon the conveying direction of the hydraulic pump, a movement of the piston in a first actuation direction or in a second actuation direction can be provided. The electric motors of both damping systems are connected to and drivable by a common control device. A position sensor is associated with each electric motor to acquire the rotor position of the respective electric motor. A pressure sensor is associated with each hydraulic pump to acquire a pressure.

  • Publication number: 20240317013
Abstract: A method for operating a damper valve in order to control a damper force of a damper in an active chassis of a vehicle, wherein the damper valve includes a pilot valve for controlling a main spool. The method includes determining a target pressure necessary for a target damper force, in a first damper chamber of the damper; determining a valve flow through a damper valve inlet of the damper valve on the basis of a damper flow, generated by a damper movement, from the first damper chamber and on the basis of a measured pump flow of a pump; determining a main spool opening distance in such a way that, with an applied main spool flow through the main spool opening distance, the target pressure is present as the back pressure in the first damper chamber.

  • Publication number: 20240300277
Abstract: A damping system of an active chassis for a vehicle wheel. The damping system includes a double-acting hydraulic cylinder and a damper having a piston, which damper is couplable to a wheel suspension system for the wheel. A hydraulic pump has a hydraulic reservoir and a hydraulic unit including valves. The hydraulic pump and the hydraulic unit cooperate with hydraulic chambers of the hydraulic cylinder such that, depending on the direction of conveyance of the hydraulic pump of the hydraulic unit, a movement of the piston in a first direction of actuation or in a second direction of actuation can be provided. The hydraulic pump and the damper are connected via the hydraulic unit and a tube-hose system including tubes and hoses. The hydraulic cylinder of the damper and the tube-hose system of the damping system feature a combined hydraulic capacity of between 9 mL/100 bar and 14 mL/100 bar.

  • Publication number: 20240239188
Abstract: A method for controlling a gear pump by a control device to compensate a tooth engagement-induced volume flow pulsation to reduce noise emissions. The method includes acquiring a gear angle and an actual speed of the gear pump; keeping a relationship between a respective modulation angle and an amplitude of a pilot control torque of the gear pump to compensate the volume flow pulsation to an actual speed; modulating the pilot control torque on the basis of the acquired gear angle, a predetermined correction angle, the modulation angle, a number of teeth of the gear pump and the amplitude; and driving the gear pump with a drive torque overlaid with the modulated pilot control torque. The modulation angle is calculated using a PT element with the actual speed as the input variable.
