  • Publication number: 20070164187
Abstract: The invention relates to a seat securing system for securing air passenger seats to a securing rail (10), whereby the system permits a relative motion between a mounting part (24) and a base body (26) that, in the longitudinal direction of said securing rail (10), can be brought into a fixed position. In this securing position, a locking body (34), which can pivot from a release position and into a locking position and which is subjected to the action of an energy storage device (32), secures the respective detent parts (22, 30) and thus the base body (24) and mounting part (26) on the securing rail (10). Said energy storage device permits a compensation of tolerances so that the inventive fitting always rests securely against the rail (10).

  • Publication number: 20070036111
Abstract: The reception of a first base station of a first mobile radio system in a first frequency range can be influenced by transmissions, associated with a connection, of at least one subscriber station of a second mobile radio system in a second frequency range adjacent to the first frequency range. A signaling unit of the first mobile radio station transmits a signal which is used to reduce the influence of the transmissions of the subscriber station of the second radio mobile system on the reception of the first base station in the first frequency range.

  • Publication number: 20070019582
Abstract: In a radio communication system, a common channel is provided which is allocated to a plurality of subscribers at the same time for data transmission between a base station and a subscriber station. Measurements regarding the transmission quality are carried out on the common channel and their results are available in the base station. If the transmission quality does not meet a defined criterion, the base station transmits a first message to a controlling radio network controller associated therewith, the first message containing information about the transmission quality and about subscriber stations for which a bad transmission quality was measured. The controlling radio network controller sends a second message which informs serving radio network controllers, associated with the subscriber stations having bad transmission quality and responsible for the configuration of the subscriber stations, about the bad transmission quality.

  • Patent number: 7093895
Abstract: A seat, in particular an aircraft passenger seat, has a seat component (10) and a backrest component (12) made at least in part of shell components. One shell component (22) is detachably connected to other components of the seat by a fastening mechanism. In the event of sudden introduction of force, as in the event of a crash, the shell component (22) is detached from the other components of the seat. A passive element is created by the shell component. When normal operating forces are present, that is, in the normal operating state of the seat, the passive element retains its position and shape. In the event of introduction of large force impulses, such as in sudden introduction of force in the event of a crash, the passive element is detached from the remaining shell structure of the seat without significant reaction forces being generated, which might cause injury of the seat occupant, and creates a free space in the seat.

  • Publication number: 20060142016
Abstract: A mobile radio telephone system has at least one first radio cell, several radio cells to that are adjacent to the first radio cell and base stations, each of the latter covering one of the radio cells. A sub-group of the adjacent radio cells is determined depending on the position of a mobile station in the first radio cell. The mobile station subsequently measures a quality parameter of only those signals of the base stations associated with the sub-groups of the adjacent radio cells. One possible advantage is that the time required to carry out the measurements is relatively short as a result of the reduction of their number.

  • Publication number: 20060138846
Abstract: A passenger seat, an aircraft passenger seat in particular, has seat components such as a seat frame (20), a backrest (12), and a seat cushion carrier (30) with seat cushion (16). The seat depth between backrest (12) and a seat front edge (26) can be varied by an adjustment mechanism (32) with an energy accumulator, such that the seat depth is adjustable and fastenable in desired adjustment positions. The adjustment mechanism has at least one variable-volume energy accumulator. An adjustment position of the seat depth may be associated with each volume level. The seat depth adjustment may be effected essentially free of mechanical components such as sets of levers.

  • Publication number: 20030165998
Abstract: The aim of the invention is to investigate the bonding of substances to target molecules. This is achieved by means of a densely packed device wherein various target molecules are bonded in a large number of sample areas. Cross-contamination and evaporation need to be minimized. The active surface of the sample areas have to be maximized. The inventive solution resides in the use of carrier plates, containing densely packed capillary structures and having a very large inner surface despite small outer dimensions. 1000 times more molecules can be bonded than on a flat outer surface of a comparable size. Cross contamination is avoided by the lack of cross links between the capillaries. Evaporation is minimized by a small outer surface. After the inner surface of the capillaries has been silanized, peptides and peptidomimetics are synthesized in a locally targeted manner.

  • Patent number: 6086881
Abstract: The present invention is a spatially aligned conjugated composition which comprises at least one chemically modified substance which is immunologically representative of a prechosen infectious agent and provides a chemical constituent for entering into and forming a thioether bond; a plurality of chemically substituted metallic oxide particles which range from about 10-10,000 nanometers and are able to enter into a thioether bond and covalent linkage; and at least one thioether bond and linkage joining the metallic oxide particles in a controlled and spatially aligned manner to the antigen or hapten. The conjugated composition may be alternatively employed as an immunogen; as a vaccine; as a diagnostic tool and reactant; and as an analytical material suitable for testing the pharmacological activity of new compounds.
