  • Patent number: 12700318
Abstract: A method and an aircraft which utilizes information from a control tower, position information of the aircraft, and a map of an airport for guiding the aircraft along taxiways. The method may comprise receiving data representing a road map of an airport, determining a position of the aircraft, receiving data representing an assigned taxiway for the aircraft, wherein the assigned taxiway is divided into at least two sections and comprises at least one holding point. Further, data representing a taxi clearance for at least one of the at least two sections are received, wherein the data representing the assigned taxiway for the aircraft and the data representing the taxi clearance for one of the at least two sections of the assigned taxiway are received from a control tower of the airport. Then, the assigned taxiway and the taxi clearance may be indicated.

  • Publication number: 20260145781
Abstract: An aircraft assistance system measuring a wind speed and direction in a vicinity of an aerodrome and calculating a wind speed and direction in a path, along which the aircraft approaches or departs, and predict wind data representing a wind speed and direction in the path for a predetermined future time period. Also an aircraft that receives the predicted wind data transmitted by the aircraft assistance system and determines the predicted wind speed and direction along the path, and displays a visualization about the predicted wind speed and direction or provides an autopilot system adapting a flight path accordingly.

  • Publication number: 20250375954
Abstract: In a method of making a composite panel for an aircraft, such as formed as a belly fairing, a plurality of layers are arranged on top of each other to form a layer arrangement. Each layer is formed by a number of mats made of a textile, which are laterally adjacent to each other and overlap each other to form one or more overlapping areas in each layer of the layer arrangement. The mats are impregnated with a matrix material. Sewing is performed across all layers of the layer arrangement at least at an edge thereof, and/or in the overlapping areas of at least one of the outer layers of the layer arrangement. One or more seams are created. The matrix material is cured after sewing the layer arrangement.
