Patent number: 11927503Abstract: The present invention relates to a computer implemented method for determining a weld integrity test result performed by a system configured to aseptically transferring cells to a container (BR), the method comprising welding (710) a vial to a connector to obtain a fluid-tight seal between the vial (V) and a connector (C), the connector being provided with a pair of conduits each having one end protruding through the connector and into the vial, sealing (720) an opposite end of one of the conduits, generating (730) a fluid pressure different to an ambient fluid pressure at an opposite end of the other conduit, measuring (740) a fluid pressure within at least one of the conduits, determining (750) a fluid pressure change based on the ambient pressure and the measured fluid pressure, determining (760) the weld integrity test result as pass or as fail based on the fluid pressure change.Type: GrantFiled: September 9, 2019Date of Patent: March 12, 2024Assignee: Cytiva Sweden ABInventors: Sameera Simha Hindupur, Manoj Kumar Ramakrishna, Andreas Castan, Swapnil Puranik, Klaus Gebauer

Publication number: 20090152069Abstract: A pressure plate assembly for a friction clutch with automatic wear compensation, including a housing which can be attached to a flywheel for rotation in common; a pressure plate installed in the housing and movable axially with respect to the housing; and an energy storage device supported against the housing and the pressure plate and exerting a force along a support path between the energy storage device and the pressure plate. A wear take-up device installed in the support path includes a wear take-up element which is preloaded to move in a wear take-up direction. An anti-reset device includes at least one clamping element which can be blocked to generate clamping contact with the wear take-up element, thereby preventing movement of the wear take-up element relative to the pressure plate in a direction opposite to the wear take-up direction.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 18, 2008Publication date: June 18, 2009Applicant: ZF Friedrichshafen AGInventors: Andreas Gebauer, Jeff Gielniak, Charles Booth

Patent number: 7213696Abstract: A friction clutch arrangement includes a clutch housing mounted to a flywheel, a pressure plate, a clutch disk mounted on a transmission shaft, and a diaphragm spring which loads the pressure plate toward the flywheel to engage the clutch. A disengagement device includes a sliding sleeve which is axially displaceable on the shaft to introduce a disengagement force to the clutch spring via an force action point, thereby producing a characteristic curve of disengagement force versus disengagement travel of the sleeve. During disengagement, a compensation device introduces a compensation force counter to the pressing force in a predefined section of the characteristic curve, thereby reducing the disengagement force in the predefined section. A switchable force transmission device changes the effective force transmission ratio of the pressing force and the disengagement force during disengagement in a predetermined manner, thereby optimizing the disengagement stroke of the pressure plate.Type: GrantFiled: December 13, 2004Date of Patent: May 8, 2007Assignee: ZF Friedrichshafen AGInventors: Andrzej Szadkowski, Frank von Levern, Andreas Gebauer

Patent number: 7122572Abstract: The present invention provides calixpyrrole, calixpyridinopyrrole, and calixpyridine macrocycles, having 4, 5, 6, 7, or 8 heterocyclic rings, as well as syntheses, derivatives, conjugates, multimers, and solid supports thereof. Such macrocycles have proved to be effective and selective ion- and neutral molecule-binding agents forming supramolecular ensembles, and ion- and neutral molecule-separation agents. The macrocycles are fully meso-non-hydrogen-substituted porphyrinogens, a few molecules of which were previously known but not recognized as possessing anion- or molecule-binding properties. The binding mode is noncovalent, primarily that of hydrogen-bonding, thereby providing a new mode for liquid chromatography, that of Hydrogen Bonding Liquid Chromatography. Further useful applications of the macrocycles provided herein include environmental remediation by removal of undesired ions or neutral molecules, and removal of phosphate for kidney dialysis.Type: GrantFiled: April 20, 2001Date of Patent: October 17, 2006Assignee: Board of Regents, University of Texas SystemInventors: Philip A. Gale, Jonathan L. Sessler, Vladimír A. Král, Andrei Andrievsky, Vincent Lynch, Petra I. Sansom, William E. Allen, Christopher T. Brown, Andreas Gebauer

Patent number: 5597059Abstract: A flywheel assembly has a first flywheel which is detachably connected to the crankshaft of a combustion engine, a second flywheel which can be rotated relative to the first, and a torque transformer, such as a hub disc, which is located in a chamber between the two flywheels, which chamber is filled with a viscous medium and which torque transformer is equipped with a torsion damping unit. The chamber is defined on that side facing the second flywheel by a cover plate, which encloses an air channel between it and the second flywheel, which air channel extends radially outward from a ventilation opening in the second flywheel. The torque transformer is provided radially outward from the ventilation opening with an annular surface, which annular surface extends preferably in the axial direction.Type: GrantFiled: February 21, 1995Date of Patent: January 28, 1997Assignee: Fichtel & Sachs AGInventors: Andreas Gebauer, Joachim Lindner, Bernhard Schierling, Bernd Stockmann, Jorg Sudau
