  • Patent number: 7296682
Abstract: A method for controlling operation of a flotation cell, where the liquid level and the foam level in the cell are measured and controlled. The method includes measuring at least one quality characteristic of the accept leaving the cell and determining the set value(s) for the liquid level and/or the foam level on the basis of the measured quality characteristic. The method is particularly suitable for flotation of a pulp suspension, particularly in deinking flotation.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 9, 2004
Date of Patent: November 20, 2007
    Assignee: Andritz AG
Inventors: Helmuth Gabl, Andreas Gorton-Hülgerth, Erwin Hertl
  • Publication number: 20070029424
Abstract: In plates or plate segments, e.g. in dispersing devices, circular elevations (9) and depressions (10) are provided in an arc-shaped arrangement. At least some of the elevations (9) form a continuous circular arc. This not only results in gentler fiber treatment due to the shearing forces being applied gently by means of friction, but also in the entire pulp suspension being dispersed, beaten/refined or deflaked more effectively.

  • Publication number: 20060108083
Abstract: The invention relates to a process for disperging a recycled fibre pulp, where a pre-dewatered pulp is heated, conveyed, and disperged in a disperger. It is mainly characterised the recycled fibre pulp being heated immediately before entering the disperging zone. In addition, the invention refers to a device for implementing the process.
