  • Patent number: 11933618
Abstract: A method of determining a first route on a first map based on a second route on a second map, comprising the steps of determining second points on the second map, the second points being included in the second route; determining first points on the first map; wherein the first points correspond in pairs to second points; and determining the first route comprising the first points by means of trace matching with respect to the second route.

  • Publication number: 20220244059
Abstract: Methods, systems, and electronic control units are provided. It is determined whether a motor vehicle has driven on a road included in digital map material. First absolute position data is captured relating to the motor vehicle using an absolute positioning system and capturing first vehicle odometry data using an odometry system of the motor vehicle at a first point in time during operation of the motor vehicle. Further absolute position data is captured relating to the motor vehicle using the absolute positioning system and capturing further vehicle odometry data using the odometry system at one further point in time during operation of the motor vehicle which differs from the first point in time. It is determined whether the motor vehicle has driven on a road included in digital map material based on the digital map material, the captured data, and a map-matching algorithm.

  • Publication number: 20210300379
Abstract: A road having a lane includes a first and a second segment having no branch-offs, and a third segment, which lies between the first and second segments and in the range of which the road forms a single-level traffic junction with another road. A method for determining the course of the lane includes steps of determining driving trajectories of a plurality of motor vehicles in the lane in the range of the first and/or the second segment; determining the course of the lane in the range of the first and second segments on the basis of the driving trajectories; determining a probable driving trajectory of the motor vehicles in the range of the third segment on the basis of the determined course in the first and second segments; and determining the course of the lane in the range of the third segment.

  • Publication number: 20210239475
Abstract: A method for evaluating a route determination comprises the steps of determining a first route on a first map on the basis of a second route on a second map; determining sections of one of the routes, wherein a particular section is further apart than a first predetermined distance from a corresponding section of the respective other route throughout its course; determining lengths of the sections; and determining a ratio of a sum of the determined lengths to a length of the route.

  • Patent number: 10878258
Abstract: A method detects roadworks. The method includes steps of: receiving a position of at least one first road sign that indicates the reduction of the maximum permissible top speed to a first vehicle on the current road section on which the first vehicle is travelling by way of a sensor fitted to the first vehicle; receiving a position of at least one second road sign that lifts the reduction of the maximum permissible top speed of a vehicle on the current road section on which the vehicle is travelling by way of the sensor fitted to the first vehicle; determining a first assumption for the position of roadworks from the first position of the at least one first road sign and the first position of the at least one second road sign; and determining a probable position of the roadworks by comparing the first assumption of the position of the roadworks with at least one second assumption that has been determined by at least one second vehicle.

  • Patent number: 10467467
Abstract: A computer-implemented method for detecting a traffic circle on a digital map, the method comprising: detecting a cycle within a road graphic of the digital map; calculating a similarity of an internal angle of a corner of a polygon, which represents the geometry of the cycle, to an internal angle of a corresponding corner of a reference polygon; calculating a similarity indicator on the basis of the calculated similarity of the internal angle of all the corners of the polygon of the detected cycle; and, if the similarity indicator exceeds a predefined threshold value, defining the detected cycle as a traffic circle on the digital map.
