  • Patent number: 7198186
Abstract: A support frame for a respiratory air container that can be adjusted to the torso length of a user. The support frame has a support plate with shoulder straps and to which at least one respiratory air container is fastened and from which pneumatic and electric supply lines originate. An extension plate is provided on the support plate and can be moved in a longitudinal direction and locked into various positions with supply lines attached to it. Shoulder straps can be fastened to a support free end of the extension plate.

  • Patent number: 6920879
Abstract: A compressed air breathing apparatus having a base plate, at least one compressed air bottle detachably mounted to the base plate using a fastening strap and an additional fixing device, and a high-pressure fitting attached to the at least one compressed air bottle. The at least one additional fixing device has at least one mounting hole which is provided in the base plate and a fixing piece on the high-pressure fitting capable of being moved directly into and locked in the mounting hole.

  • Patent number: 6848120
Abstract: The supporting plate (1) of a harness for breathing tanks and the like is flexibly connected to a waist plate (2) using an elastic formed piece (3) meant to keep said waist plate (2) on the user's back and resiliently respond to impacts, contortion, and tilting, and the link of the supporting plate and waist plate provided using the formed piece is positive-locking around a connecting pin (5a) in the direction of rotation of the plates against each other.

  • Publication number: 20040045991
Abstract: A support frame (1) for a respiratory air container has an approximately U-shaped guiding channel (13) in the longitudinal direction on the side facing towards the body of the user. An extension plate (14) which is also U-shaped is guided into said guiding channel and can be stopped in various positions therein. Supply lines (7 to 9) which originate from the pressure reducer (6) of the respiratory air container and which form a reserve loop in the smallest form of the support frame extend into a receiving channel (25) via a line inlet opening (12), said receiving channel being formed by the U-shaped extension plate, and are fixed thereto. The length of the support frame and the position of the supply lines are adjusted according to the torso length of the user, by adjusting the extension plate. This ensures that the user can move freely and safely while the supply lines are protected or kept close to the body, regardless of body size.

  • Publication number: 20020078959
Abstract: In a compressed air breathing apparatus comprising a base plate (1) and at least one compressed air bottle (6) attached to it using a fastening strip (5) and an additional fixing device, a high-pressure fitting (10) at said compressed air bottle is connected to a fixing piece (9) comprising a bridge (9b) and at least one latch plate (9c), and said fixing piece (9) can be locked into a mounting hole provided in said base plate (1). The mounting hole has the shape of a keyhole, and so the fixing piece inserted into it, which may also comprise two latch plates placed at a distant from each other thus forming a fixing groove (9a), is locked into the slit-shaped part of said mounting hole. In this way, even multiple compressed air bottles can be fastened safely and replaced fast and easily.

  • Patent number: 5759133
Abstract: A method and an engine control for suppressing vibration in the drive train of a motor vehicle include detecting a variable being dependent on a speed of an engine, deriving and evaluating a gradient from the variable, reducing a torque of the engine by varying an ignition angle if impermissible vibration is detected, and controlling the torque reduction as a function of an upper and a lower threshold value for the gradient. An ignition intervention is carried out for reducing the engine torque if the gradient is below the lower threshold. The ignition intervention is cancelled if the gradient exceeds the upper threshold value. First lower threshold values are stored in a first performance graph, and second higher threshold values are stored in a second performance graph to which a switchover is made after a first tripping of an anti-bucking function.
