  • Patent number: 11969859
Abstract: The invention relates to a machine tool system (1) comprising a machine tool (2) comprising a spindle (3) that can be rotatably driven for machining workpieces, with a plurality of tools each clamped in chucks (5), in the form of so-called tool heads (4), that can be coupled to the spindle (3), and a balancing device (8) for balancing the tool heads (4), the machine tool system (1) comprising a data memory (11) in which the balancing protocol associated with each system-associated tool head (4) is stored, and a controller (12) that reads balancing data from the balancing protocol, for a tool head (4) coupled to the spindle (3), and compares it with at least one parameter of the machining for which said tool head (4) is provided, or with at least one general balancing parameter, the machine tool system (1) preferably being designed such that it rejects a tool head (4) when there is no available balancing data for said tool head (4).

  • Publication number: 20240082976
Abstract: An apparatus is provided for measuring a tool or a cutting tool, or a complete tool including a tool holder and a tool or a cutting tool, clamped in the tool holder. A method is provided for compiling a digital image of a tool or a cutting tool, or a complete tool including a tool holder and a tool or a cutting tool, clamped in the tool holder, in particular by using the apparatus. During the method, the tool or the complete tool is sampled for the compilation of the digital image. At least one first cutting point, for example a cutting start point, and a second cutting point, for example a cutting end point, are measured for the tool or the complete tool. A cutting region is then ascertained in the digital image by using the first and second cutting points forming a collision-relevant digital twin.

  • Patent number: 11585655
Abstract: A coupling element for receiving a probe tip in a probe measuring apparatus has a journal at one end with a first connecting/coupling region. A screw insert has a first connecting/coupling region at one end with a recess, in particular for connecting to the coupling element 16. The journal of the coupling element forms, on an outer surface, or the recess of the screw insert forms, on an inner surface, multiple thread segments or respectively which do not adjoin one another in a radial circumferential direction. A probe measuring apparatus includes the coupling element, the screw insert, a coupling arm/measuring shaft, and a probe insert connected to the coupling arm by way of the coupling element and the screw insert.

  • Publication number: 20200061760
Abstract: An induction coil unit for heating a sleeve portion of a tool holder which has a receiving opening for a shank of a rotary tool, the sleeve portion holds the shank of the tool seated in the opening in a press fit and releases it upon heating. The induction coil unit has a holding apparatus for holding the tool holder, a coil arrangement that encloses the sleeve portion during a heating operation, and a magnetic flux concentrator arrangement that is arranged near the free end of the sleeve portion. A detector for detecting a property of the tool holder held by the holding apparatus is provided. An actuator for adapting an operating parameter of the heating operation is further provided along with a controller that communicates with the detector to obtain data relating to the tool holder, and with the actuator to direct the adaptation of the operating parameter.
