  • Patent number: 9217219
Abstract: In a method for applying a treatment composition to a laundry item in a laundry treatment device having a rotatably mounted drum and a water supply, water is added to the laundry item in a first rotation step of the drum to set a pre-determined residual moisture content. A treatment composition is sprayed onto the laundry item with the aid of the water supply in a second rotation step of the drum, when the drum is rotated at a rotary speed which is equal to or greater than a centrifugal adhesion rotary speed.

  • Patent number: 9181647
Abstract: A water-conducting domestic appliance includes a housing having an interior, and a door which is connected to the housing to provide access to a treatment region in the interior of the housing. A ventilation valve controls ventilation of the treatment region of the housing. A door closure is provided to close the door and has an actuator which is connected to the ventilation valve. The door closure is actively connected to the ventilation valve in such a manner that the actuator opens the ventilation valve when the door is released and closes the ventilation valve when the door is closed, so that the ventilation valve is closed when the door is closed during operation.

  • Patent number: 9038425
Abstract: A washing machine includes a laundry drum which is rotatably mounted inside a tub. The tub is connected in a fixed manner within a surrounding housing. The axis of rotation of the laundry drum is variable in height with respect to the tub. Elastic elements are positioned outside the tub to suspend the laundry drum together with a drive unit within the housing in an oscillating manner. The presence of a relatively high water consumption of the washing machine can be avoided and the relative position of the laundry drum with respect to the tub can be adjusted by providing a position-adjusting device, by which the height and/or the angle of the axis of rotation can be adjusted within limits, and which engages with a part that is connected in a fixed manner to the bearing for the drive shaft of the laundry drum.

  • Publication number: 20100235999
Abstract: A method for treating laundry with washing lye uses a washing machine having a lye discharge system disposed on a base of a lye container, a pivotally supported drum, and a heating device for the direct heating of a load of laundry containing the washing lye. The method includes adding the washing lye to the load in an amount smaller or equal to an amount required for saturation of the laundry with water (“saturation amount”), wetting the laundry, and heating the wetted laundry via the heating device. Water is added at a temperature of no more than 40 degrees Celsius for rinsing the washing lye from the laundry. A washing machine is also configured to be suitable for carrying out the method.

  • Publication number: 20070017257
Abstract: The invention relates to a washing machine in which the supplementary ventilation line is connected to an opening as high as possible on the washing tub and running to a nozzle, arranged as high as possible on the detergent flushing device, by means of an additional ventilation system which provides a ventilation to prevent an accident with a stopped machine and a closed door. The detergent introduction line runs from the detergent flushing device to an inlet nozzle, placed as far as possible from the ventilation nozzle in the upper region of the washing tub, such that no reservoirs of water can form in the line. Both lines are connected to the atmosphere by means of the flushing device. According to the invention, the ventilation system provides an adequate supply of fresh air. Noise on operation of the washing machine is adequately damped and the foam and water vapor outlet can be as good as excluded.
