  • Publication number: 20160045886
Abstract: Electrode support seals in a Siemens reactor for the deposition of polycrystalline silicon are protected against thermal stress and degradation, and shorting by falling fragments is prevented by shielding having a high resistivity and also a high thermal conductivity.
    Type: Application
    Filed: February 26, 2014
    Publication date: February 18, 2016
Inventors: Heinz KRAUS, Andreas HEGEN, Christian KUTZA
  • Patent number: 7694568
Abstract: Noncontaminating and nondestructive testing of a shaped polysilicon body for a material defect is accomplished by exposing the shaped polysilicon body to ultrasound waves, and the ultrasound waves are registered by an ultrasound receiver after they have passed through the shaped polysilicon body or reflected therein, so that material defects in the polysilicon are detected.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 21, 2007
Date of Patent: April 13, 2010
    Assignee: Wacker Chemie AG
Inventors: Andreas Hegen, Matthaeus Schantz, Bruno Lichtenegger
