  • Publication number: 20240098389
Abstract: An electronic device includes an interface configured to receive telemetry information for one or more power semiconductor devices and a data acquisition and processing unit. The data acquisition and processing unit may be configured to increase a gate voltage above a maximum permitted level for each of the one or more power semiconductor devices having a current slew rate that exceeds a predetermined level as determined by the telemetry information. The data acquisition and processing unit may be configured to increase a gate voltage above a maximum permitted level for each of the one or more power semiconductor devices having a temperature that exceeds a predetermined level as determined by the telemetry information. An electronic system that includes the electronic device is also described.

  • Patent number: 11856660
Abstract: A heating system for a drive train or a component thereof and to a method for producing it. In order to produce an apparatus of the above-mentioned type, which can be inexpensively integrated into an existing system, it is proposed for at least one heating element, which is for active electrical heating of a drive train or component thereof, to be provided in combination with or in an already existing component for thermal and/or acoustic shielding.

  • Patent number: 11761367
Abstract: A shielding element, which comprises at least two sections that are embodied to be linearly connected to each other in abutting fashion on at least one contact surface so as to enclose a three-dimensionally shaped profile or pipe segment of an exhaust line of an internal combustion engine over a certain length when in use. In order to modify a shielding element of the above-mentioned type while amplifying its effect with other positive properties, it is proposed for the sections of the shielding element to each comprise at least one electrical heating system, which, in an installed position, is thermally directed at the pipe segment that is to be enclosed.

  • Publication number: 20210262742
Abstract: A heat-shielding device with at least one flat shielding layer, the heat-shielding device being equipped and embodied to be suitable for shielding a protected component or region from the heat of a heat source wherein a passive cooling module is connected to the shielding layer in a thermally conductive fashion in at least one area of the at least one shielding layer that is subjected to a high thermal load.

  • Publication number: 20120318351
Abstract: A solar cell includes a substrate, a semiconductor layer, a first busbar, and a second busbar. Along a connecting line, the first busbar has contact pads which have a maximum width bImax, perpendicular to the connecting line and between which there is respectively located on the connecting line a current collecting area which makes contact with the contact pads in a contact area, having on both sides of the connecting line two outer points whose spacing perpendicular to the connecting line defines a maximum width bSmax of the current collecting area. Width b of the current collecting area and bImax<bSmax, starting from one contact pad up to an adjacent contact pad, decreases down to a minimum width bSmin between two inner points, and then increases up to the adjacent contact pad to a maximum width bSmax?.

  • Patent number: 7449115
Abstract: The invention relates to a dialysis method of recovering foreign substances, particularly low-molecular weight inorganic and/or organic substances, from semipermeable membrane of varying length and dimensions, using a PLE (pressurized liquid extraction) apparatus. The membranes are preferably in the form of a tube, for example semipermeable membrane devices (SPMDs) which, in the form of passive samplers, accumulate foreign substances/pollutants on an absorbent or adsorbent.

  • Patent number: 5563374
Abstract: A flexible pipe coupling is constructed for flexibly interconnecting pipe sections especially in a vacuum toilet system on board an aircraft. For this purpose each coupling member of a pair forming the coupling has a bushing for connection to a pipe end by a hose clamp, a flange integrally connected to the bushing, and a support ring for backing the respective flange but permitting the flange to retain a certain flexibility. Each support ring has a conical circumferential rim. The coupling also includes a clamp member encircling with radially inwardly facing conical surfaces the radially outwardly facing conical rim of both support rings to clamp the coupling members together. The clamp member has a threaded or snap device for applying the clamping force.
