Abstract: A capsule for storing and dispensing dental material. The capsule comprises a cartridge for the dental material, and a nozzle. The nozzle being pivotable with respect to the cartridge between a first position in which the capsule is closed for storage and a second position in which the capsule is opened for dispensing the dental material. One of the nozzle and the cartridge comprises a bearing member and the other one of the nozzle and the cartridge comprises a bearing shell, wherein the bearing member and bearing shell form a pivot. Upon pivoting the nozzle from the first to the second position, the seal between the bearing member and the bearing shell is improved.

Abstract: A dispenser comprises a body with an outlet, and a closure for the outlet. The closure and the body are pivotally movable relative to each other between an open position in which the outlet is open and a closed position in which the closure closes the outlet. The closure and the body are adapted for locking engagement with each another in the closed position. The closure has a locking member for locking and unlocking the closure and the body in the closed position. A force applied on the locking member for unlocking urges the closure toward the open position. The dispenser preferably facilitates the application of a material to be dispensed to a desired location.

Abstract: A dispensing device for a dental material, comprises a container that has a passageway with a front opening for releasing the dental material, and a rear opening. The device has a first fill opening in the passageway arranged between the rear opening and the front opening. The device further has a second fill opening. The device is adapted to receive a piston in the passageway which is movable between the rear opening and the front opening.

Abstract: A plunger for advancing a substance in a syringe toward a dispensing nozzle. The plunger has a plunger rod and a seal and being formed of a plastic composition. The plastic composition comprises a polymer and a filler which is non-uniformly distributed within the polymer to provide the plunger rod and the seal with different mechanical properties depending on the filler content in the portions of the plastic composition plunger forming the rod and the seal. The invention preferably provides a dental syringe which can be conveniently used, and further helps minimizing costs in the manufacturing of the dental syringe.

The connection (21) between the static mixer (9) and the first end of the syringe cartridge (3) comprises a flow-directing mechanism having a venting position in which the cartridge compartments (5, 7) are cut off from the static mixer and are in communication independently with respective venting outlets, and a dispensing position in which the cartridge compartments are in communication with the static mixer and are cut off from the venting outlets.

The cap is resiliently-biased by a spring (8) towards an open position in which air can pass through the venting passage from the front to the rear side of the plunger, and is movable from the open position into a closed position in which the cap closes the venting passage.
