  • Patent number: 9689626
Abstract: A heat exchanger (20) comprising: a pair of generally planar, heat conducting plates (10) arranged in spaced, generally parallel relationship; spacing elements (22) separating the plates (10) from one another and defining first (26) and second (28) flow channels between the plates (10) for flow in a first direction and a second direction respectively; wherein the plates (10) in at least the first channel (26) are divided into fins (14), the fins being separated from each other in the first direction and being offset from the plate (10) perpendicular to the first direction to a plurality of offset positions.

  • Patent number: 5404604
Abstract: A device for supporting a human body is provided having parts which are movable relative to each other including a frame; a rotatable end connected thereto; a base element which is connected to the rotatable end; an adjusting element which cooperates with a frame section; and drive means for adjusting the adjusting element relative to the base element, the base element being an elongated section running parallel to at least one of the parts of the frame and the rotatable end and the adjusting element including first and second arms which are movable by means of the drive means between a position in which it extends along or is accommodated in the section and a position in which it projects relative to the section, which arm can be swivelled about a fixed hinge point of the frame and which forms part of a link mechanism with two arms, of which the second arm is coupled with play in a pivoting manner to a sliding member which can be moved relative to the frame, and which second arm has a part which can cooperat

  • Patent number: 5314213
Abstract: A pipe coupling, comprising a sleeve having at least one end adapted for the insertion of a pipe and being provided with a substantially conically shaped supporting surface for a sealing ring. A compression ring is provided by which the sealing ring may be compressed around the pipe. The sealing ring is composed of a circumferentially compressible, but in cross section rather undeformable annular core, which is more particularly bent of a helical body having substantially circular windings, and a sheath of elastomeric material which forms the actual seal. The sheath completely encloses the annular core both cross sectionally and circumferentially. The supporting surface has a progressively decreasing diameter in the pressing direction.

  • Patent number: 5224524
Abstract: Multi-variable regulator having at least four mechanical ports having a linear transfer function between at least two of the ports. The multi-variable regulator has a body which is movable in three dimensions. Joint structure connect the body to the ports at three different points on the body. A pneumatic converter controls the position of the body.
