  • Patent number: 11892289
Abstract: The invention generally relates to methods for manually calibrating imaging systems such as optical coherence tomography systems. In certain aspects, an imaging system displays an image showing a target and a reference item. A user looks at the image and indicates a point within the image near the reference item. A processer detects an actual location of the reference item within an area around the indicated point. The processer can use an expected location of the reference item with the detected actual location to calculate a calibration value and provide a calibrated image. In this way, a user can identify the actual location of the reference point and a processing algorithm can give precision to the actual location.

  • Patent number: 11894885
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for an apparatus that performs near field communications are described. A near ultra low energy field (NULEF) system may be used in systems that come in close contact with the human body. NULEF-E may experience limited performance due to external electric fields generated by a human body. NULEF-E may also be used across other bodies having electrically conductive or semi-conductive surfaces. The interference of the external electric fields may be mitigated by increasing the electrical length between a transducer and an electrode of the system. In particular, a wire electrically connecting a transceiver and a electrode may have a wire length that is also an electrical length between the transceiver and the electrode, the wire being configured such that a physical distance between the electrode and the transceiver is less than the wire length while maintaining the electrical length.

  • Publication number: 20230344735
Abstract: A method is described for measuring a communication latency between a first device with a first local clock and a second device with a second local clock, the devices interconnected for digital communication to a network, comprising sending an upstream communication and a downstream communication between the devices, and measuring using said local clocks an upstream send time (?1), an upstream receive time (?2), a downstream send time (?3) and a downstream receive time (?4); calculating a first measured delay (y1) as ?2-?1 and calculating a second measured delay (y2) as ?4-?3; providing said measured delays (y1, y2) to a recursive filter function arranged to estimate a first latency (d1) and a second latency (d2) based on said measured delays (y1, y2) and on values for the first and second latencies (d1, d2) previously estimated by said recursive filter function, and iterating. The invention also relates to a system and computer software product.
