  • Patent number: 7943565
Abstract: The present invention relates to acidic sanitizing and/or cleaning compositions comprising a specific quaternary antimicrobial system consisting of C1-C4 hydroxyalkyl carboxylic acids, C5-C18 alkyl monocarboxylic acids, unsubstituted or substituted, saturated or unsaturated C4-dicarboxylic acids and additional inorganic or organic acids. The compositions of the present invention can be present in the form of concentrates and in the form of diluted use solutions. They can be used in a process for sanitizing and/or cleaning hard surfaces, preferably in a cleaning-in-place (CIP) and/or sanitize-in-place (SIP) process for cleaning and/or sanitizing plants in the food, dairy, beverage, brewery and soft drink industries.

  • Publication number: 20100219823
Abstract: A coil arrangement for a magnetic sensor for detecting metallic objects in a subgrade, in particular structures made of concrete, brick, and wood, as well as a method for energizing and reading out this coil arrangement, is disclosed. The coil arrangement includes one or preferably two stacked outer main coils via which a perpendicular magnetomotive force of the subgrade is effected. Provided within the outer main coil(s) is, on the one hand, a quartet of a total of two pairs of parallel coils lying symmetrical to the axis of the main coil(s), via which a magnetomotive force penetration of the subgrade in two directions parallel to the subgrade surface is possible. To further improve the accuracy and reliability of localizing objects and estimating depth of cover, two pairs of smaller orthogonal coils each opposite from one another and also arranged symmetrically to the axis of the main coil(s) are provided.

  • Publication number: 20100186504
Abstract: A method for the detection of objects embedded in building structure subgrades such as cable, concrete reinforcing bars, conduit pipe and the like as well as a hand-operated sensor with an adaptive detection threshold operating according to the method, is disclosed. To reduce an over-detection with the adaptation of the detection threshold, a change in the direction of movement of the sensor being guided over the surface area is recorded with respect to an embedded object. The determination of a change in the direction of movement preferably takes place by measuring the sensor acceleration in two directions with respect to the embedded object. Corresponding speeds are computed at least as estimates from the acceleration values in order to generate a conclusion about a reversal of the direction of movement.

  • Publication number: 20090167207
Abstract: The invention relates to an operating device (BG) for lamps (LM), comprising an interface (IFi), by means of which the device (BG) may be provided with external dimming values. The device (BG) converts said provided external dimming values into internal dimming values on the basis of which the control of the connected lamps (LM) is achieved, the internal dimming values being of higher resolution than the external dimming values. According to the invention, the operating device (BG) is designed such that the conversion of the external dimming values into internal dimming values may be programmed. The operating device (BG) can particularly also be designed such that said conversion can be programmed with regard to the dynamics thereof. A programming can be provided by a time conversion relationship (linear, logarithmic or exponential time curve etc.) by means of which an internal dimming value corresponding to an external dimming value is reached.

  • Publication number: 20090138726
Abstract: The invention provides a method for accessing the mass memory of a data carrier with a mass memory and a chip. The data carrier has been or is personalized by an individual date of a use device which is or has already been stored in(to) the chip to a use device for accessing the data carrier, so that the data carrier can only be used with this use device.

  • Patent number: 5855217
Abstract: A device for cleaning surfaces which are soiled in the food industry with grease, starch or protein residues including: a housing body having a first inlet for feeding pressurized water; a propulsion jet positioned behind the inlet and in a direction of flow; a collection jet positioned behind the propulsion jet which is flow connected with a second inlet for feeding a chlorine-free alkaline foam cleaning agent and a third inlet for feeding a hydrogen peroxide solution; and a turbulence chamber into which an elongated jet body of the collection jet extends, the turbulence chamber fitted with a chamber inlet for feeding compressed air into the chamber such that a hydrogen peroxide foam is formed from a solution formed upon dosing an effective amount of the hydrogen peroxide solution into the chlorine-free alkaline foam cleaner at a maximum of 60 seconds prior to contact of the hydrogen peroxide foam with a surface to be cleaned, the turbulence chamber further having a chamber outlet through which the hydrogen
