Publication number: 20230216858Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for providing a dynamic user interface for managing resource permissions while using a browser. An example method includes determining that a user of the computing device has not blocked a permission for a resource and has not allowed the permission for the resource, the permission for the resource being requested by a website. The method may also include obtaining a permission score for the resource from a model, the permission score representing a likelihood of the user allowing use of the resource. The method may also include selecting a permissions interface element from one of a loud user interface element, a quiet user interface element, and an intermediate user interface element based on the permission score and generating a user interface on a display that includes the permissions interface element.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 13, 2022Publication date: July 6, 2023Inventors: Danting Chen, Balazs Engedy, Igor Bilogrevic, Enrico Bacis, Edward Jung, Andy Paicu, Ravjit Uppal, Penelope McLachlan, Andrea Jorge, Illia Klimov

Publication number: 20180200698Abstract: The present invention provides a catalyst comprising alumina as carrier material and palladium or platinum as active component, obtainable by a) impregnating an alumina carrier with a solution comprising at least one salt of the active component palladium or platinum, b) drying the catalyst thus obtained, c) treating the catalyst thus obtained with hydrogen, or a mixture of hydrogen and at least one inert gas, for a period of 1 to 24 hours at a temperature of 30 to 200° C., and d) thereafter keeping the catalyst thus reduced in the presence of hydrogen, or a mixture of hydrogen and at least one inert gas, for a period of 1 hour to 10 days at a temperature of 10 to 100° C. The catalyst provided by the invention is useful in processes for isomerization of olefins from olefin-containing hydrocarbonaceous mixtures having 4 to 20 carbon atoms at temperatures of 10 to 150° C. and pressures of 1 to 35 bar.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 8, 2016Publication date: July 19, 2018Inventors: Stefan ISELBORN, Andreas Jörg UFER

Patent number: 8546145Abstract: The invention relates to a method of fast identification and isolation of cells featuring a desired phenotype. The phenotype is coupled to the amount of gas-liberating enzymes or increased growth. The cells are encapsulated into microcapsules allowing exchange of solvents through the microcapsule wall, but retaining some or all of the gas formed by gas-liberating enzymes on contact with corresponding substrates. Microcapsules containing increased amounts of gas-liberating enzymes are starting to float and can be separated. The cells are then isolated from the microcapsules according to standard procedures.Type: GrantFiled: May 27, 2011Date of Patent: October 1, 2013Assignee: ETH ZurichInventors: René Pellaux, Marcel Walser, Andreas Jörg Meyer, Martin Held, Sven Panke

Patent number: 5515578Abstract: In addition to removing noil from a combing machine, the lap pieces which occur during a lap change operation are suctioned off and recycled into the combing process so as to reduce the amount of waste generated by the combing process. The noil and lap pieces can be removed from the combing heads through a common suction tube and conveyed separately via connecting pipes to separate points. The lap pieces which have been separated can be transported into a drum separator with the fiber material of the lap pieces being separated and recycled for the production of new laps.Type: GrantFiled: December 16, 1994Date of Patent: May 14, 1996Assignee: Rieter Machine Works, Ltd.Inventors: Giancarlo Mondini, Andreas Jorg

Patent number: 5197163Abstract: The nipper unit comprises a lower nipper as well as a an upper nipper and an auxiliary nipper, the latter two each being movable with respect to the lower nipper between a closed position and an open position. The auxiliary nipper is spring-loaded against its closed position. If the upper nipper is in its opened position, the auxiliary nipper is in its closed position and is used to tightly clamp a lap on a lower nipper plate while a previously combed fiber tuft is detached therefrom. When the upper nipper moves to its closed position, stop elements arranged on the upper nipper come into contact with stop surfaces arranged on the auxiliary nipper and open the auxiliary nipper so that the lap on the lower nipper plate can be advanced. The timing of the opening of the auxiliary nipper is determined by the position of the stop elements on the upper nipper.Type: GrantFiled: June 1, 1992Date of Patent: March 30, 1993Assignee: Rieter Machine Works, Ltd.Inventor: Andreas Jorg

Patent number: 5060346Abstract: The combing machine comprises a continuously rotatable circular-comb cylinder carrying a circular-comb segment and detaching segment. The detaching segment cooperates with a detaching pressure roll. The combing machine also contains a nipper unit comprising a lower nipper which is stationary relative to the axis of the continuously rotatable circular-comb cylinder, and an upper nipper which is movable relative to the lower nipper. The fibers detached by the detaching segment together with the detaching pressure roll are sucked as fiber clusters into a suction shaft or tube, or can be united to form a sliver at a rotatable screening or sieve drum. The suction shaft includes a flexible membrane to close the shaft. The combining machine is of simple construction and economical to manufacture and renders possible a high operating speed and, therefore, a higher output, particularly in the absence of a top comb between the lower nipper and the detaching pressure roll.Type: GrantFiled: October 2, 1990Date of Patent: October 29, 1991Assignee: Rieter Machine Works, Ltd.Inventors: Jurg Bischofberger, Andreas Jorg, Giancarlo Mondini, Peter Oehy
