  • Patent number: 9088801
Abstract: The invention pertains to a method for operating an image-processing device, in which an image signal is digitally transmitted between a transmitter and at least one receiver, and in which the image signal comprises a timed sequence of images. An alternating signal which alternates at a signal alternation frequency is superimposed on the image content of the images before they are transmitted, and the signal alternation frequency is greater than or equal to the perception frequency resolvable by the human eye. The invention also pertains to an image-processing device.

Date of Patent: July 21, 2015
    Assignee: EIZO GMBH

  • Patent number: 8154562
Abstract: A method and an arrangement for improving the digital-signal-generated grayscale resolution of a monochrome visual display unit (3) to which the digital signals from an image source (1) can be supplied over n-bit wide RGB channels (2). Measures are proposed that make it possible to display distinguishable grayscale gradations on the visual display unit (3) regardless of whether a grayscale signal (6; 10) or RGB color signals (12, 13, 14) are transmitted to the visual display unit (3).

  • Patent number: 7796113
Abstract: The aim of the invention is to largely prevent certain influences from distributing the luminance of an image that can be reproduced on a panel of a flat screen. To this end, light-permeable parts are arranged between a sensor and a back light illuminating the panel from the rear, the ageing and/or temperature properties of said light-permeable parts essentially corresponding to those of the light-permeable parts of the panel.

  • Publication number: 20090251603
Abstract: An image playback system (3), to which digital R, G, B video signals (R, G, B), respectively via R, G, B line pairs (7, 8, 9), and a communication signal (SDA) may be supplied by an image source (1), includes a program memory (18) in which configuration data for a programmable module (21) are stored, said data being necessary for operation of the image playback system (3). The disclosed system improves how firmware is updated for the image playback system.

  • Patent number: 7576750
Abstract: A method and an arrangement for optimizing the luminance characteristic curve for a display system using a lookup table. Digitized video levels are supplied to this lookup table and are optimized using correction values stored in the lookup table. With suitable means, the luminance characteristic curve can be easily adapted to standards and/or custom specifications. The memory requirement is low, since it is not necessary to provide different lookup tables for different ambient luminosities or selected reproduction models (curves).

  • Patent number: 6302083
Abstract: The values for the speed of the crankshaft are corrected by means of an acausal mean-value filter, and the change in the kinetic energy of the crankshaft in the expansion interval of a cylinder is calculated from the dynamically corrected speed values and referred to the maximum fuel quantity which can be fed in this interval. The dimensionless residue obtained therefrom represents for the cylinder under consideration a measure of too much or too little injected fuel. Correction terms are derived from the calculated residues for the injection times of the individual cylinders. This renders adaptation possible in the overall region of the characteristic diagram, in particular also in the case of speed transitions.
