  • Patent number: 5853229
Abstract: In a first region of the driver's braking command, regenerative braking produces almost all of the braking torque, whereas the friction brake produces essentially no braking torque. In this region of the braking command, the pressure medium flowing into the wheel brake cylinder as a result of the driver's actuation of the brake pedal, is conducted by appropriate control back to a storage chamber. The first region is limited by a threshold brake pedal travel which corresponds to the maximum braking torque available from the motor. When pedal travel exceeds this threshold, the friction brake and the motor both effect braking.

  • Patent number: 5832312
Abstract: A watertight body for accommodating a photographic camera. The body has a first and a second body shell of rigid polymer material that can be joined together for accommodating a photographic camera. The body has sealing means comprising elastic polymer material provided by a multiple-component injection molding process on an edge of at least one body shell that forms the joint and on surface areas of the body shells. The elastic polymer material is connected to the body shell by chain looping (molecular entanglement) of the polymer materials. The result is that the body is reliably sealed against water and is nevertheless inexpensive and simple to manufacture. For a simple and correspondingly inexpensive recyclability of the body, the body shells can be crushed without separation of the polymer materials using known devices, with the resultant material mix being usable as an admixture for the manufacture of new camera components.

  • Patent number: 5752748
Abstract: A central control module generates nominal values for braking based on a pedal input value form a pedal sensor which detects actuation of the brake pedal by the driver, and sensor signals representing wheel speeds. First and second brake control modules transmit sensor signals to the central module, receive nominal values from the central module, and transmit nominal values to the actuators. The first brake control module receives the pedal input value from the pedal sensor directly, and calculates the nominal values as a function of the pedal input value when the central module has failed.

  • Patent number: 5665067
Abstract: There is disclosed an apparatus for applying a multiple component tissue adhesive, which apparatus has component conveying channels for the components of the tissue adhesive, extending in a one-piece construction part from a connecting part to a delivery part, and a gas conveying channel for a medicinal gas serving for atomizing the tissue adhesive components, wherein all the conveying channels end in separate exit openings at a front side of the delivery part and extend parallel to one another over at least that part of their longitudinal extension which is immediately upstream of the exit openings, and wherein the component conveying channels together are enclosed by the gas conveying channel at least on that part of their longitudinal extension immediately in front of their exit openings.

  • Patent number: 5531509
Abstract: A vehicle brake system with a hydraulic brake booster. A booster pressure which is required for operating the brake booster is produced by throttling a flow of pressure medium which is supplied by a pump. For this purpose, a throttle valve is arranged between a pressure line which is connected to the pump and a return line which leads back to the pump, the adjustment of said pressure valve involves a building up of booster pressure in the pressure line by a solenoid, which booster pressure is applied to the brake booster. An electronic control unit which is connected to at least one sensor which outputs variable electric signal serves to control the throttle valve, the sensor detects activation of the brake pedal. For example, a pressure sensor which as a function of the boosting pressure supplies signals to the control unit which is developed to form a pressure controller and controls the throttle valve can be connected to the brake booster.
